Persona 4 Golden Review | PSLS

Every day’s great at your Junes. You’ll hear that a lot when you play Persona 4 Golden. But is it, really? Your parents leave you in a tiny little country town for a year, you’re thrown into a new house, a new school, an extended family you barely know — oh, and people are dying. How is this great?

The best game on the Vita in Japan is also the best game on the Vita in America.

Whatever gets more people playing this game, I'm all for it. Too many people skipped this one over in 2008 because it was a PS2 game -- a crime against RPGs, I say!

Just like Persona 3, this is an awesome game in its original form and it got even better portable. So great.

Yeah. I have to say, it's now one of my favorite games. I might even buy the game card version just so I can keep playing it without it eating up 3GB on my memory card for the rest of time

That is a crime against RPGs. My favorite RPG of possible all time.

I'd suggest the physical copy. The PSN version is over 3GB, so it's going to eat up precious memory card space. But either way, you won't regret buying it.

Hopefully this is the start of new and exiting JRPGs to come.

kingdavid4173d ago

exiting are you serious? These games definitely should not be exiting the games industry. We need more of them i say.

I've already played this game more than I've played any other holiday season title. That even counts my whole Black Ops 2 review, zing!

I'll have to make this a mission the next time I blow through Tokyo.

Hopefully soon, given the limited availability.

send me one while you're at it. I mean what's better than Whiskey and Persona? A cigar with the two, and that would be perfection personified.

Remasters And Remakes Make Up 90 Percent Of 2023's Highest-Rated Games

Only one of the games on the top ten is completely original.

90 percent of Metacrtitic's top ten highest-rated games of 2023 so far are remasters and remakes, with Hi-Fi Rush acting as the only wholly original game to make the list so far.

We might only be in March, but it seems like we've already got tons of great games to be talking about, including Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, Hi-Fi Rush, Persona 4 Golden, and Metroid Prime Remastered. There is one commonality between those games, however - most of them are remakes and remasters.

I don't usually buy Switch games until the holidays when they have the elusive sale.

dead_pixels405d ago

Can't blame you there. The bargains don't come too often on the eShop, that's for sure.

FinalFantasyFanatic405d ago

I feel like they're getting stingier and stingier, at this point, if the game is on something else, I'd rather buy it there where it's cheaper.

Already own physical versions of Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers along with digital versions of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden on Switch. Will definitely double dip if physical versions of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden.
