PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale PS Vita Review [PlayStation LifeStyle]

PSLS: This holiday season hasn’t been too good to the PlayStation Vita. While it wasn’t terrible, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation wasn’t quite what we had hoped for. Call of Duty: Black Ops – Declassified is well… a complete disaster. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is the PS Vita’s last shot for glory ahead of Christmas.

Do not buy this game for Vita!!!... because you can get it for PS3 and get this for free :D

<3 Cross-Buy

Sev4167d ago

It's $100 value in one purchase. And it's such a good game.

Vita will likely be my preferred version, but anyone who buys that version is doing it wrong.

knifefight4166d ago

Do they have the cross-buy program for the Japanese PSN?

NewMonday4166d ago

but if you only want to play it on the Vita it is cheaper, 40$ and 35$ digital

I'm glad to hear the smaller screen didn't hamper the action too much.

What I don't get is why this site took off points from the PS3 version for not having certain characters. Since when is that a reason for misusing points especially since it isn't their characters to use as they see fit. I mean do people make up rules especially for PS3 games or something? Does that mean they you should minus points from the new DMC because it should have been original Dante? I think SSB should have had Simon Belmot, Mega Man, Firebrand and Maximo. Does that mean as a reviewer can minus points from it?

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Launched 10 Years Too Early

Though PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is a bit of a cult classic, it could have been a big hit if it launched in 2022 instead of 2012.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69513d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop513d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard513d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi513d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin513d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus520d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer519d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
