How about a refund for this shit port I mean call of duty sell just as well on ps3 as any other platform give or take this is a sad excuse for a ps3 game Sony needs to change there standards if it don't match the 360 version don't release it on ps3 treyarch is a joke we ps3 gamers. Alike need to give treyarch and Activision a rude awaking on twitter and Facebook its no excuse now ps3 is 6 years old

GraveLord4172d ago

I don't want a refund, I want a patch.
It's not like the game isn't playable...it has its issues but its random.

Merrill4172d ago (Edited 4172d ago )

At this point I blame Sony just as much as Activision/Treyarch/InfinityWa rd.

Sony has the power to not allow games to ship on PS3 if they suspect quality isn't up to standards. They continually let companies/publishers such as Activision & Bethesda get away with shipping almost unplayable games at times, sell on their system.

Clearly if no one is going to stop them, why not release an inferior product that will sell just as well as a fully debugged and quality product?

It's time Sony steps up and takes our side, if not and you must play games done by Bethesda and Activision, it may be time to buy a 360 and play them on that system and future ones by Microsoft instead of supporting the Sony name.

Soldierone4172d ago

If Sony did that, they would literally be handing sales to Mircosoft.

To the "core" fanboys, yes that is cool of them to do and they would support it. To the general public? All they see is COD isn't available on their console, so now they are mad and won't find the reason behind it, so now they want to buy a 360 in spite.

I think Sony is doing the proper thing by showcasing it instead. Sure Acti's games come broken, and Bethseda is sucking it up, but look at the exclusives. Pushing boundaries (even though a third party said they couldn't) and not a glitchfest of problems.....It becomes clear the issue isn't the system, but lazy developers. So the FANS are the ones that need to make a stand and not buy the games.

But at least the issues with Black Ops 2 are not terribly game breaking. I didn't see any enemies flying backwards, or anything major like that. Just server issues, which seem to be somewhat fixed now.

Silly gameAr4172d ago (Edited 4172d ago )

Or, you could just stop supporting Bethesda and Activision. They seem to be the only ones that have major problems on the PS3 now in days.

brianunfried4172d ago

All copies of Black Ops II at Target and Best Buy on the shelf have the Nuketown Map included, no preorder required. What a waste of time that was preordering.

perot4854172d ago

I didnt have it preordered and i still got nuketown, plus it plays just fine for me

Roper3164172d ago

If you continue to buy games from Activision you deserve whatever mess of a game you get. It is a clear & known fact that Acti could careless about making COD properly on the PS3 because they know well enough that the idiots will buy it regardless of how it runs.

As long as idiot gamers keep buying broken messes of games the devs & publishers like Activision won't change anything they are currently doing.

Xbox $70 billion bet paid out

fr0sty248d ago

Guess that's what happens when there's no good new games to play...

4Sh0w248d ago (Edited 248d ago )

Well regardless of exclusives, or whatever else there is to play on Xbox or ps, CoD has has still been the top selling game on ps platform since forever also.....so no surprise that the most popular game franchise on any console could easily have a revival due to servers coming back online...this is just credit to xbox backwards compatibility & thats good thing for Xbox gamers.

wiz7191248d ago

@Frosty orrrr maybe it’s a breath of fresh air to be able to go back to the peak of the series .. and it’s beem great lol

mkis007248d ago

It's going to take 10 years for xbox to generate that much profit...

Rhythmattic248d ago

Why worry when they have OS, Server and Background Data in their hands...
Gaming is just the small piece, at the top left in a few K piece jigsaw.

EasilyTheBest248d ago

If you buy a house with cash for 1 million dollars you still own the house. Microsoft don't need to make the money back.

Rhythmattic246d ago

But its not money back, its about how it goes missing.

jznrpg248d ago

Shooters is what Xbox people play most of the time and that’s about it by the numbers and sales of games.

shinoff2183249d ago

Atkeast older gamers nostalgia is good. Jeez.

Jin_Sakai249d ago

Mostly because the new CoD games are garbage. The old games were much better.

Rutaprkl248d ago

Agree 100%. Cod 4, WaW, Black ops 1 & 2, those were the days.

Rhythmattic248d ago

For MP, Unreal tournament , QIII Arena (loved the UT mod) FTW!

RaidenBlack248d ago

Unreal Tournament and Quake III were simply amazing ... CoD's and CoD-likes' rise killed the arena shooter popularity ...
Unreal Tournament 2004 is my favorite in the series.
Didn't enjoy Unreal Tournament III, Quake Champions that much.
Too bad Epic cancelled Unreal Tournament 2014 becoz of Fortnite

Rhythmattic247d ago (Edited 247d ago )

I got hooked on the QIII Urban Terror mod (and my work colleagues I introduced them to)... LAN Sessions at the closing of the doors at work, into the night , sinking beers and eating pizza..... Good times.

thesoftware730248d ago

Wow, good games never get old I guess.

CoD will always be a beast of a franchise, and how awesome is it that you can just boot it up or pop it into your Xbox and play, MS BC is really a neat feature.

CrimsonWing69248d ago

Shows you that backwards compatibility is a worthwhile feature.

1Victor248d ago

@crimson:” Shows you that backwards compatibility is a worthwhile feature.”
I agree it’s worthy at the start of the generation when there’s few new generation games but halfway through the generation it’s not a feature.
Now it’s good that this game is finding a renewed life for its fan but it shows a mayor flaw in new games release when a close decade old game is toppling the charts

CrimsonWing69248d ago

I don't know if I understand what you mean. It's a feature regardless of the time into the generation.

Let's take Armored Core 6 for example. Let's say I'm interested in checking out the previous Armored Core games, sure would be nice if I could play them on my current-gen console.

We're about 3 years into current-gen and old games are hitting in the top 5 for sales charts in the month.

I do get where you're coming from with older games possibly being better than the newer games, but the feature stays the feature. I can only speak for myself, but when there's a lull in game releases or nothing great is out, I like to go back to old titles. It's just nice to not have to have a bunch of consoles out to do so.

I think moving forward it'll be less and less of an issue as like with the PS5 you can access most all of the PS4 games, but I like going back to PS1 and PS2. Would be awesome to kind of make backwards compatibility a prioritized feature moving forward. Hell, Sony was the first to implement it.
