Black Ops II Dev Responds Poorly To Disgruntled YouTuber – Reddit Downvotes Dev To Oblivion

Popular YouTuber Nick Bunyun was left pretty angry when he posted a video highlighting the infuriating use of hacking in Black Ops 2 – and promptly received a strike on his account in response, with the video removed following an Activision complaint.

But when Treyarch dev David Vonderhaar attempted to respond to Bunyun’s grievance in an AMA session on Reddit, gamers were far from impressed with his reply.

And this is the company people chose to support? they don't care about the gamer one bit just their money.

And this is the game journalist are throwing perfect scores to, although reports of lag, glitching, errors, bugs, hacking, poor hit detection, same poor spawning, generic story etc. are being reported by people who are playing the game.

It's pathetic that every year the same bs problems occur like its predecessors. Goes to show you that not very much changes in the cod games besides the skin and tittle.

Based on your comment I am assuming you have not played this game.

First off there are very few perfect reviews for this game. Although they are mostly high 8-9/10.

And second, lag, errors, the occasional freeze here and there, and... yea that's about all that I have experienced bad with this game so far.

Glitching, bugs, hacking, poor hit detection and "poor spawning" are all non existant with this game. The hit detection is by FAR the best I have seen in ANY CoD to date, spawning is also heavily improved... except for maybe on small maps ala Nuketown. And I have yet to see anyone either glitching, bugging (or just random game bugs) or hacking as of yet. And usually Treyarchs games are some of the most unpolished MP games to release. Yet this one is easily the most polished so far.

I have nothing to say about the Story, as I have been playing online with friends. And spending my free time with other games I have already started.

Oh, and I am on PS3 if that makes any difference.

If all they wanted was money, they would implement online passes. Trust me, there is much worse out there.

OT: He is right, there is no way to know if you want to get famous off a hacking video on Youtube, most do. The way to bring attention to this is not to upload a video to Youtube, it is to report the player from the game itself and move on. Leave the match if there is a hacker in there. PC is plagued by hackers, I suggest you play on a console. You even have the option to play on Wii U now.

LOL at all these trolls. What's so "Douchebaggy" about his reply? NO GOOD can come off releasing hacking videos on Youtube, it will only make people try and do it themselves.

RickHiggity4178d ago

Yaa. God forbid people want to enjoy the game they payed for, without putting up with hackers.

andrew1719944178d ago (Edited 4178d ago )

its the top selling game you idiot.. theres no need to put in online passes that just makes people not wanna buy the game..

SideShort4178d ago

lol.. elite?.. season pass?

FanboyPunisher4179d ago

Games that come out yearly have little to no added value; majority is reused assets and code.

Why pay full price for reused stuff?

SKIP ANNUALS, just like COD.

Why do you think the best games never come out yearly? Good games require time, while annuals require paying off reviewers.

MGS, Uncharted, etc etc never would be so good if they came out yearly.

SKIP TRASH. Dont listen to reviews listen to reality.
They reuse assets and code, nearly everything for annual releases; why keep this terrible cycle going?

andrew1719944178d ago

look at wat happened to madden on pc lost value n people stopped buying it.

PhillyJoe4179d ago

Game is a cartoon! The graffix are so poor and the cheating is a joke. The textures on the maps are the worst I've seen in years. I never liked halo multiplayer but I'll tell you It blows away Blk ops.

HarryMasonHerpderp4179d ago

What a douche bag reply.
Something should be done about this with an apology from Activision or Treyarch.

Probably drunk and partying after their games sells like hot cakes...
