The Wii Bucket List

Ryan Johnson, Erik Kubik, Mark Del Rio | GoozerNation

As our time with the Wii draws to a close, we need to remember the good points. Rather than let it's life end on a whimper, remembering all the shovelware released for it, the crew at GoozerNation has put together the Wii Bucket List: a set of games that show high marks for the system; that it's not a bunch of waggle tech with no substantial gaming available. Click in for some of the best "must-experience" titles you need to try before your Wii shoves off it's mortal coil.

What are your must-play Wii games?

darthv724179d ago (Edited 4179d ago )

"As our time with the Wii draws to a close..." What you do is play those games on the Wii-U. Bingo, time starts over again.

All the sadness these articles are trying to convey are just stupid when we know the game you take out of the wii for the "very last time" you can put into the wii-u and say lets continue where we left off.

i know the idea is the make a point of the wii as a platform and the good, bad and ugly but those moments will live on with the wii-u.

How about we make that the new trend in good-bye wii, hello wii-u articles?

edit: actually...I dont recall ANY farewell PS2 articles. Probably because people knew sony and the track record of BC but obviously that got pulled. then again, Sony had kept the support for ps2 going for many years after.

Nintendo needs to make it quick and painless. like tearing off a band-aid. while at the same time, comforting those with the full support of BC in the WII-U as a selling point. In my case, yup, the wii will go right back into its original packaging when the wii-u comes out. the games will find a new home on the wii-u and be played just as they were on the wii.

As for my ps2, well I have a BC ps3 so i put the ps2 away as well. Should something happen to my BC ps3 then i will be forced to get a newer one and then we can take the ps2 out of the box to play those.

i know most wont buy a new platform to play old games but i have been spoiled by that feature. It really is a must have for all platforms.

Reading in, I do discuss the backwards compatibility. But I do think we're going to get a difference in game styles as we focus on the Wii U gameplay as opposed to the Wii. Single player status won't focus on the waggle anymore. Games such as Punch Out may still come out using a 'chuck and 'mote, but most likely developers will pander to the tablet.

I'm sure there were plenty of "farewell" PS2 topics back in the day when the PS3 emerged as well.

I'm looking forward to writing Wii U articles, soon as I get my hands on one. :)

I'm glad the games will live on in the U. I pray that habit continues for many years, you'll only have to keep half the systems through the ages!

Eternal Darkness was way ahead of its time especially for a Nintendo exclusive.

I would love to see a remake or sequel (multiplatform)
