The Last of Us will have a world premiere at the 2012 VGA's

In a recent tweet Naughty Dog teased there will be a world premiere for The Last of Us at the 2012 Spike Video Game Awards, and that the new Gameinformer, will have a sneak peak at this announcement

Uncharted 4 and Killzone 4 should be saved for the PlayStation 4, until the new PlayStation is announced I dont want to see them.

Sucker Punch's new PS3 game NEEDS to be announced already though, I want it to be at the Spike's VGAs!

I could see a Killzone 4 trailer. The other stuff is too early. I think they're saving Uncharted 4 for the PS4. I think the Resistance IP is done, at least until Sony finds a dev to take over for Insomniac.

Holiday sales, 2 year release cycle, a Tuesday (when games are normally released), very marketable 11-12-13 release date.

ND beefed up after Uncharted 2's success and split into two teams.

Uncharted 3 and The Last of Us started production at roughly the same time, meaning The Last of Us has already been in the works for 3+ years.

Also with nextgen likely hitting end of next year i'd say releasing at the same time would not go well unless it changes to a PS4 release title.

That said their had been rumours months ago of a Q1 2013 release.

Earlier the better (as long as the quality doesn't suffer), but God of War: Ascension releases in Q1 2013. They shouldn't put those too close to each other non-holiday season.

There's also a prequel comic called The Last Of Us: American Dreams releasing in "Spring 2013", which is Q2.

I hope Sony & ND take their time to really polish this game to perfection and avoid rushing it like they did Uncharted 3. If Nintendo can't rush Miyamoto so should Sony not rush Naughty Dog. They only have one shot at TLOU so they better not screw it.

Tad optimistic dont you think? They just announced a new IP with TloU, its a bit much to expect another one so late in the gen.

If the Uncharted 3 team are working on a new IP or even UC4 it will likely be on PS4.

We really need more new IPs. I am glad naughty dog and sony are investing time into creating a new IP. According to Naughty Dog, this game isn't going to be accompanied by a sequel. I love Uncharted, God of War, Gears of War, Halo, Final Fantasy, and Resident evil; but i would like to add a quite a few, fresh titles to that list.
