Will anyone upload the Gaminformer digital edition, or at least pictures of it? It comes out in around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Hope someone uploads it ASAP.

PinkFunk4178d ago

Frig. I thought I was clicking on a link that took me to the main info.

I thought they published the digital version at 5pm GMT. Which would be round 20 minutes ago. Why ya saying 2 hours n 30 mins?

Will the madness NEVER END?!?

PinkFunk4178d ago (Edited 4178d ago )

Sigh nevermind, answered my own question by actually CAREFULLY reading the article. Just a bit over an hour... May God help us all.....

Edit: NOOO it's central time... i'm GMT that means 2 hours! Melting... I'm MELTING... *silent fading whimpers*

OCEANGROWNKUSH4178d ago

Its funny the main characters have been right under our noses the whole time... Guy on the left is in the screenshots riding a quad and a jet ski, guy in the middle is on the poster holding the rottweiler, and the guy on the right was in the original trailer. I also suspect the guys jumping out the back of the bug van are the main characters as well.

Driving

The Cars hold to the ground more and don't control like boats
Even rockstar admitted there mistakes my concerns are over gtav day 1 pstrey ftw this game will live inside my ps3 other games are likely to visit like god of war and last of us but GTA welcome home

showtimefolks4178d ago

so the rumors an EX RS employee spread and we all called him names are true, he did say more than one playable character among many other things

anyway just pre ordered it put $25 on it at gamestop so when the limited edition or collectors edition is announced i am planning to move that money to those editions

may get 2 limited editions one to play other just tp keep sealed for years lol. GTA is my 2nd Favorite series in gaming behind MGS so i am really exited as are the other 20 plus million gamers

here is hoping the game lives up to the hype and since its Rockstar:North it most likely will and 2nd hope is it has a awesome collectors edition

now if RS can just announce the GTA:HD collection that would be greatly appreciated

Multiple protagonists confirmed?

Razmossis4178d ago

please noooooo. immersion ruined if so

Jinkies4178d ago (Edited 4178d ago )

I know right, how can you invest in your character if they keep switching. Your obviously always going to have a one you hate and want rid of. Plus what happens when you buy something for your character, your going to have to buy it again for the other two

I think the main guy at the front in the main character and the other two are the ones who help him like big secondary characters. I mean look at Uncharted for example, Elena and Sully are main characters but they're not playable are they.

IronFistChinMi4178d ago

Why? My guess is it will be like having the three campaigns of GTAIV available from the start. As long as you can play them separately from start to finish and not have them overlap in one playthrough, it should be good.

Keep the length of each campaign the same as the GTAIV DLC ones and it won't drag like Niko's did too.

A2X_4178d ago

It's Rockstar. Have faith.

LOGICWINS4178d ago (Edited 4178d ago )

"Why? My guess is it will be like having the three campaigns of GTAIV available from the start. As long as you can play them separately from start to finish and not have them overlap in one playthrough, it should be good."

Well of course they will overlap. Clearly these guys I'll be working together...the question is to what degree.

Will they come together early in the game and work together for MOST of the game? Or will they each have their own separate campaigns and work together for the final heist/showdown?

IronFistChinMi4178d ago

@Logic What I meant is, that you're not forced to switch during one campaign like CoD. Just have it like GTAIV, where the campaigns were separate and you saw how they linked up that way.

LOGICWINS4178d ago (Edited 4178d ago )

^^I agree with you. It took me 12 hours each to beat Gay Tony and TLAD. I found them both to be highly satisfying experiences.

The stories didn't drag like Niko's 30-40 hour quest. Hopefully, GTAV is the same way.

@Razmossis

"The cover features GTA 5's three main characters, which the magazine says you'll get to use in "groundbreaking" new ways."

Three PLAYABLE MAIN PROTAGONISTS CONFIRMED

Razmossis4178d ago

Having 3 DLC sized games would be terrible. You can't have 3 beginnings, 3 middles and 3 ends in a game that has always been about advancing your character (or 'you') to bigger more badass things, getting more money, guns, girls, property... lung capacity! etc. You can't just drop all that and start working on another character (twice). That would probably also render the idea of fresh stories via DLC useless, as people will just see the whole game as a big DLC pack.

I do have faith in Rockstar, so I'm betting on 1 playable character, otherwise the 'journey' for your character will have no feel and no meaning.

At least we don't have to wait long to find out if I'll be eating my words

vickers5004178d ago

"It's Rockstar. Have faith."

After the disappointment that was Grand Theft Auto IV, I'm not going to be getting hyped up for this game. Though based on what Rockstar did with the AMAZING Red Dead Redemption, I am looking forward to seeing more on GTAV, but I'm not getting my hopes up for it just quite yet.

PinkFunk4178d ago

I hope they will be separate campaigns, in the sense that it doesn't switch back and forth in the middle of it. But I think it'd be very interesting if their paths crossed (which I'm sure they will)

Either way, we'll find out in about an hour how it'll all work. I hope it doesn't mean we have to sacrifice a level of immersion just to accommodate 3 different protagonists... I hope Rockstar knows what they're doing, and I have a hunch that they do!

jdaboss4178d ago (Edited 4178d ago )

you DO know there were multiple (exactly 3) protaganists in GTA4 right? stop freaking out like a lil BI. Rockstar has moved to letting everyone know whats in the DLC or upcoming DLC as the game is launched.

I'm excited to see how Rockstar I'll weave this story together. I love movies/games where completely different people come together and find common ground to reach a goal.

Niko/Packie and Jacob

Johnny K/Malc

Luis Lopez/Gay Tony

Ex-Rockstar Dev Finally Explains Why Small Planes Randomly Crashed in GTA San Andreas

Former Rockstar Games Technical Director Obbe Vermeij has finally revealed why some planes would randomly crash in GTA: San Andreas.

Profchaos12d ago

This fly by feature was on the cutting room floor due to the random plane crashes and it's one of those things I'm so thankful made it into the final version as these random fly by and crashes make the world seem more alive on the extremely limited PS2 hardware you needed everything you could possibly get in a open world to convey that feeling.

And accross hundreds of hours of gameplay I probably died around 3 times as a result of these fly by failures but I loved every time it happened

isarai12d ago (Edited 12d ago )

It made the world feel more human, and honestly kinda insane that even today with all these open world games, almost no one can capture that like R* even when compared to their ps2 games

Skuletor10d ago

Lol, I remember those. I vaguely remember dying from one crashing into my car once too.
