Morrowind? Where? In the trailer? From what I can tell, it looks like a brand new area set on an island north of Skyrim...

Locksus4183d ago

b-b-b-b-but at 0:25.. must...have..faith..

kingdavid4183d ago

Solstheim (the place in the trailer) was in a morrowind expansion.

Awesome_Gamer4182d ago

Demon's/Dark Souls > Skyrim.

Irishguy954183d ago (Edited 4183d ago )

Yes...back to Vvardenfall. I wonder how big the map is of it. As it seems there are two cities in this trailer that look alot like Sadrith Mora and Ald'ruhn
http://guidesmedia.ign.com/...

@ 28 seconds Ald'ruhn http://morroblivion.com/fil...
@ 25 Sadrith mora http://reinspired.files.wor...

Morrowind has unique architecture for some of the cities.

Also, where you get that from nrvalleytime? North of Skyrim would be full of ice...always

Edit---

FFs I failed miserably on listening there, Solsteim is just above morrowind, it was where the werewolf expansion for Morrowind took place too

nrvalleytime4183d ago

"The first Dragonborn from ages past ruled over the island of Solstheim, which lies to the North East of Skyrim."

From the Elder Scrolls Wiki. That would make sense given that he's the antagonist; however, don't rule out Morrowind. It could be this homeland originated Morrowind culture.

Just a thought.

Mainsqueeze4183d ago

I think this is going to mostly take place on Solstheim and maybe whats left of some parts of northern morrowind. If you look in the backround of that shot at 28 seconds that you said was aldruhn you can see what i think is a volcano with smoke coming out the top. It pops up a couple times throughout the trailer though its hard to make out what it is. I hope its red mountain.

GreenRanger4183d ago (Edited 4183d ago )

"He was the first ..DRAGONBORN!!"
Wasn't Tiber Septim the first Dragonborn?

Thefreeman0124183d ago

obviously you arent the first because you travel to see the old men who are dragonborn arent they...

Locksus4183d ago

Actually, they aren't. They are people who have learned the dragon language and with it, the shouts.

Grap4183d ago

he was dragonborn but he wasn't the first one. so no u won't see Talos in this DLC.

RufustheKing4183d ago

looks very interesting but i have a ps3 so *cry* I suppose i will have to get the GOTY on PC then.

grailly4183d ago

it's what I was thinking... I hate getting games for the wrong platform. I piracy justified in this case?

I'm Replaying Skyrim (again), and So Should You

Replaying Skyrim after 13 years is a reminder of the progress made in western RPGs over the last decade, but also what's been lost.

anast13d ago

I tried, but it's a poorly made game that insults its customers.

lucian22913d ago

nah, only mods make it decent, and even then it's bad, and this is after i modded for at least 3 years

Nittdarko13d ago

Funnily enough, I'm about to play it for the first time in VR with 1000 mods to make the game playable, as is the Bethesda way

The 7 Best Western RPGs: Immersive Adventures

RPGs are often huge, sprawling endeavours. With limited playtime, we have to choose wisely, so here's the best western RPGs available today.

SimpleSlave13d ago

"I started playing games yesterday" the List... Meh!

How about a few RPGs that deserve some love instead?
1 - Alpha Protocol - Now on GOG
2 - else Heart.Break()
3 - Shadowrun Trilogy
4 - Wasteland 2
5 - UnderRail
6 - Tyranny
7 - Torment: Tides of Numenera

And for a bonus game that flew under the radar:
8 - Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden

Loved Alpha Protocol in all it's glorious jank. Great game.

SimpleSlave13d ago (Edited 13d ago )

Not only glorious jank, but the idea that the story can completely change depending on what you do, or say, or side with, makes it one of the most forward thinking games ever. The amount of story permutation is the equivalent of a Hitman level but in Story Form. And it wasn't just that the story changed, no, it was that you met completely new characters, or missed them, depending on your choices. Made Mass Effect feel static in comparison.

Alpha Protocol was absolutely glorious, indeed. And it was, and still is, more Next Gen than most anything out there these days. In this regard at least.

Pity.
