PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Beta Extended

When the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale beta went live on PSN two weeks ago, it was Sony’s intention to pull the plug yesterday on October 30th, Game Designer Seth Killian announced via Twitter that the beta will stay online for a few more days.

lol So that's why I was still able to play today. I was wondering why I was able to play after the 30th and now I have my answer. I'm glad I'm able to play it for a few more days as I was only able to play it for about a week.

exactly how many more days? damn...I was about to kick myself in the nuts for missing out as I was going for a conference overseas and on the 29th just noticed that there was a Beta going on until 30th! today is already several days after the 30th and after reading this I'm thinking of downloading it but please make it available for at least another week! PLEASE :-)

I don't know they didn't specify how many days exactly, so you should download it and play it as soon as you can!

Good news. I didn't know there was a public beta until a couple of days ago. Its really fun even though I get my ass handed to me all the time.
Its funny because I just watched my two nephews play, who are 5 & 8 and they were kicking ass lol

I don't want to write this but I need to vent.

I just got done showing psabr to a few friends. (All smash fans) and their reaction was terrible. Non of them even wanted to play after playing the game.

As a huge Sony fanboy it really upsets me to say, "Sony is going downhill". I've invested 10s of thousands of dollars into the playstation platform and I see the terrible end coming.

When a fan request as simple as "make a smash bros for the playstation" cannot even be fulfilled due to the developers pride, this is when I know it's going down hill. This game could of been a multi-million seller but now it will tarnish the franchise name. Even the name of the game is hideous and "we" (the fans) all know it.

While allstars is fun, it lacks the lasting depth and 1v1 mechanics of smash. I hope whoever a idea it was to completely change the smash formula gets fired because you single handedly RUINED what "should" of been every playstation fans dream. I won't even get into "key" characters brig left out. Like Sony, everything is done with some money thrown at it but never really getting a quality-check.

The initial reaction of fans should of been enough o completely change the game. You (devs) know as well as we (fans) know, the super kill mechanic was a terrible idea. Interesting idea but it just removed so many excellent mechanics like ledge grabs and the mid air mind games.

I am very disappointed that this will not sell well enough to be a playstation brand system seller.

You should delay and rework it to e EXACTLY what the fans wanted. Do not put your pride before your fans again. I will cancel my preorder now and wait for the 7.5-8.0 reviews.

The game has depth and the 1 vs 1 mechanics are fine. You can pretend all you want that the no heath and super only system doesn't work, but that doesn't change the fact in reality it does work. Superbot knows what they are doing.

I'm very well aware that no matter what the game is, some people just won't get into it.

But that long, drawn out, drivel you wrote about PASBR not being Smash completely dismisses any argument you have against the game. Im sick of hearing that PASBR isnt like this game or that game. THATS THE POINT YOU TARDS. the game is its own thing completely and that is refreshing.

But hate on, cause I know thousands of people are loving the beta, and when the full game launches, it will turn into millions. It will get picked up for tournaments not onlybecause Seth Killian and Clockwork are behind it and have deep roots and connections in the tournament scene, but the game completely stands onnits own as not only solid, but brilliant.

It will capture some of the traditional hardcore fighting game tournament players and also a whole new, completely different audience, which will be interesting to watch.

And I cant wait for Seth Killians commentary for this game on all the tournament streams. Get hype, cause PASBR WILL EXPLODE. just wait and see.
