Game Guys review - Medal of Honor Warfighter

Imagine this: You are a Tier-One operative in the U.S. military taking part in a joint anti-Al Qaeda operation with the Philippian Army during a formidable typhoon. Actually, you don't have to image it at all, as that operation is one of the events in Danger Close's militaristic FPS game Medal of Honor Warfighter inspired by real-life events.

finally someone who actually understands the game for what it is

Nest88r4191d ago

Yeah!! Im actually loving this game!! Creepy reviewers dont get whats the game is all about

showtimefolks4191d ago

This game is atleast. 7.5/10 but most gaming sites were pissed that EA didn't send them copies a week ahead of time. Also most gaming sites reviewed the game without installing the day one arch

Ign's review is that MOH does nothing new well watch them give 9.5/10 to COD and it hasn't done anything new in years.

Double standard by gaming media

Tonester9254191d ago

lol at COD hasn't done anything new in Years part.

I think you're just trying to fit in with everyone else

Tonester9254191d ago

Let me restate it. Treyarch Innovates. Infinity Ward doesn't.

MOH was all graphics no gameplay and they paid the price.

Had everyone drooling over the graphics until the controller was in their hands. Now people want reviewers to give it a better score because of the "Amazing Graphics" haha GTFOH

TKCMuzzer4191d ago

Single player of MOHW>MW3, why? because it's believable and you feel part of it. MW3 was going through the motions, so much I could barely get through the campaign without being bored and as for MW3 multiplayer. YES, MOHW has issues with multiplayer but it also scrappes all that over powered weapons, stupid perks crap down to the point where it becomes about the player.
I'm all for bad reviews but these reviewers better review Black Ops 2 using the same methods. As we know though, this is never the case. Apparently COD makes a lot of money and that can filter many ways.

showtimefolks4191d ago

yeah keep believing COD has done something fresh in last 2 years, just keep thinking that

since MW1 its been the same game with different skin and summer blockbuster action moments as its single player story. and after making billions of dollars it is time to update the graphics engine nothing wrong with a game looking amazing

i don't like military FPS in general. i am not hating on COD my point is hold each military FPS to same standard, if one has nothing fresh than next in line should also be reviewed with that in mind

gaming media can be bought case and point kane and lynch with gamespot when they fired jeff

R6ex4191d ago

Yup.

IGN is pathetic!

How dare they give a lowly 4.5/10 score?!

MOH:W is a more beautiful game than most others. It also gives a realistic sense of playing the role of a Tier 1 operator. The action sequences are believable. Certainly not the ridiculously far-fetched COD ideas.

This game is at least a 7/10.

*lol at COD hasn't done anything new in Years part.*

The only thing COD has done new in years is show how it basically holds your hand while you play.Apart from that nothing new.

OT:While the Multi still needs some work i say give a month or two to work out some of the kinks here and there and it will be good.

Remember BF3 how it was when it came out??Yea.

9 Video Game Sequels So Bad They Killed The Series

Alongside death, taxes and terrible Adam Sandler movies, video game sequels are just another crushing inevitability of life. Sequels and franchises are the lifeblood of the industry, so you can bet any halfway successful game will be aiming towards at least five more follow-ups and spin-offs in pursuit of more delicious money.

Yet even major franchises tend to run themselves into the ground eventually, where they can either reboot themselves and come back stronger than ever (think the new Tomb Raider games) or stay buried in the past.

Old school would be Wolfenstein, Doom, Hexen, Duke Nukem, and Rise of the Triad.

More recently Half-Life 2, BioShock (original), Wolfenstein the new order, Timesplitters 2, Medal of Honour.

Some personal favourites Singularity, Resistance series, Killzone Series, Bulletstorm, Dishonored.

Kallisti2822d ago (Edited 2822d ago )

Duke Nukem was a side scroller on Dos

@robition Duke Nukem wasn't a FPS 'til the 3rd one, Duke Nukem 3D

robtion2822d ago

Sure. Talking about FPS's here though.

Great concept(Nectar) and fun but a bit of an iffy execution and didn't live up to its promise. I finished it at launch. Shame they didn't quite get it right.

5 Video Games That Ruined Their Franchises Badly

The video game industry is one based on the backs of its scholarly properties. Like movies and books, it’s a space that draws vigorously on strong sequels and innovative new thoughts. Notwithstanding, not all sequels surpass the enormity of their forerunners, and a chosen few of them check the start of the end for their →

Assassin's Creed series was ruined after Black Flag, Ubisoft made it annually game. I played Dead Space 1 and 2; were awesome but Dead Space 3 failed to make gosip. As MOH Warfighter was good game

NukaCola2877d ago

Black Flag was the redeemer after 3. ACIV is my favorite of the series. Unity was bad, Syndicate is actually pretty good. So they are up and down. As for Dead Space, I thought the original was like Uncharted series. The first one was a great story and a little rough, but #2 was incredible through and through. Uncharted 3 is awesome, unfortunately DS3 was indeed a terrible terrible game. Warfighter was a good game, but aren't we all burned out on shooters???

Stupid2877d ago

That's right Assassin's Creed series had awesome games till AC Black Flag, AC III was terrible

monkeyDzoro2877d ago

I disagree on AC Black Flag. Black Flag was a good PIRATE game but a very mediocre AC.

CoNn3r_B2877d ago

I preferred Revelations over Brotherhood. AC Brotherhood had such a boring story while AC Revelations tied everything up very well for Ezio and Altair, if I was going to pick a game where it all started going downhill for me it would be AC 3 but despite that AC 1,2, Brotherhood, Revelations, 4, Rogue and Syndicate are all good games.

RondoMachete2877d ago

Lost Planet as far as I remember went like dead space with the third game (round based type play) it just felt like it was just a map clearing game with multiple horde survival. Call Of duty went and died long ago. Ghosts didn't help its cause but now we have three development houses it's going from bad to worse. GTA to me anyway was saved with five to me the driving up until then was awful. Mario and sonics died along time ago to in my eyes.

Bobafret2877d ago

These titles get worse and worse.
