This game would have been great online also, its a pity there is no online multiplayer, maby in the future they could add this option via a patch download.
Im still getting the game tho as it looks awesome

Though with the Wii U game pad - local multiplay will be "da ish" thanks in part to the Wii U's asymmetrical features.

Yep online would be nice but the local multi-player does sound fun. Interesting concept at the very least.

Overall though I'm much more interested in the single player game.

Maybe, I'm more impressed with a first person game that can stand on its own merit and not fall back on multiplayer. Also, Zombie U is meant to be an isolated experience, where fear can set in. I don't know if mp would make it better or not. Can't wait to try it out in 19 days though. EDIT: I was thinking on it, and I think a co-op mode would be cool... Id prefer it over competitive mp.

No doubt their will be a sequel, i'm guessing this game will sell pretty well since it's getting some good hype for it.

I remember I read somewhere about 2 months ago they are already considering starting to develop Zombiu 2 due to the lack of time they had with the first game and they have a lot of ideas they would like to implement in the game.

Yeah but people who don't have others to play with/against, or do but don't have extra controllers can't use those aspects, which is why an online multiplayer would have been very welcome.

I probably would have preordered the game. But given that there are tons of games I'm buying, I had to let that one slip down the list. Perhaps I buy it as I think I'm dropping 007 Legends Wii U after seeing and understanding the poor reviews of the 360 and other versions. Or maybe it goes to more steam games during winter sale.

It no doubt looks like a fun game, and I can definitely see why it'll be a big seller, but for me, with ~10 other games being bought across all platforms and PC, no online multiplayer pushes it down the list. But I know lots of people will have lots of fun and won't be in the same position I'm in.

yeah the lack of online multiplayer is a bit of a shortcoming, however it could be fixed with a possible patch that comes out down the road. Or we can all wait for the inevitable ZombiU 2 that comes out which should have online multiplayer by then..

Can anyone confirm for me, can you use the Wiimote to play the multiplayer with the gamepad? Or do you have to get a pro controller? Thanks in advanced.

bokharij4190d ago

Ok I checked some sites and apparently you can use the wii controllers for multiplayer while one person uses the Wii U GamePad.

The title says the criteria was explicitly written to mention Eternal Darkness. I am happy to see House of the Dead: OVERKILL on here. With the rise of Grindhouse themes in the 2010s, (ie WET), this was one that was both entertaining and camp funny.

Would be nice to see a new Zombie game set in the UK again, some of the landmarks, old architecture and the like really fits in well with the genre.
