Heavens Divide - Lyrics Interpretation

Heaven’s Divide is one of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker’s most prominent music tracks, and one of the few that features lyrics. It is a song that was written specifically for the game, and that has higly metaphorical, symbolic lyrics. What do those words mean exactly, and how do they relate to the storyline? This article attempts to propose a possible explanation.

Great article.

I just finished Peace Walker HD, (Couldn't get through it on PSP...) and It's gotta be the best in the series by far.
It's too bad it was held back by the PSP, (but sill huge!) or it would have been MGS5.

Thanks!

Ground Zeroes seems to expand on the concept, with the scale of a full blown console title. So that should be interesting.

Mgs pw was the best stealth game ever! Hey I wonder if your avatar name "Nyxus" has anything to do with persona games. If your a persona fan, can u please cover any footage of both news of any upcoming persona games (as well as mgs?). I have over 125 games for my ps3 alone, but all I ever want to actually invest in is Persona and MGS/MGO (sad servers shut down). We need more journalistic coverage of those 2 epic franchises here on n4g :)

Also, on topic: I think the interpretation is dead-on. Bosses death will haunt Naked Snake for the rest of his life. Ever notice how the pattern repeats itself with Solid Snake having to "kill" big boss? I love conspiracy theories in mgs!

Ooh? Nyxus from Gametrailers? :P Oh I so do love those collections and signed collectibles you have and your uesr videossss, hehe.

in the process of finishing it as we speak, and by finishing it i mean unlocking the last extra ops and then start dwelving in the online vs ops.
the game is unbelievably fun. story is up there with the 4 main metal gears and the gameplay is the best one ive played yet. at first i was annoyed that it was bundled in the HD collection instead of mgs1 but boy am i glad to have given it a try.

Nyxus4188d ago

@ donbear: It has nothing to do with Persona, in fact I never played a game in the series. :P

What you say about the repetition of things in the MGS games is definitely true. It's one of the more important themes of the series: passing on from generation to generation.

@ Mounce: Yeah, I'm the same Nyxus from GT. ;)

Metal Gear Solid HD Collection - Preparing for Snake Eater Remake

The Metal Gear Solid HD Collection launched in 2011, and is still the best way to play Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater ahead of the remake.

Can’t wait to one day break that game out of the collection vault

aaronaton307d ago

Currently playing Snake Eater HD on CRT 16:9, via Scart RGB. Game looks great but not as clean as MGS2, but thats due to the setting. Can't wait for the remake + the next HD collection on PS5.

some really good games on that list. some of my favorites (not on the list) are Metal Slug XX, ultimate Ghosts & Goblins, Gradius Collection, Motorstorm Arctic Edge and Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters.

Knushwood Butt595d ago

Metal Slug XX is surprisingly good.

I get that The Warriors is technically a PS2 game ported over, but damn it's amazing on the PSP

roadkillers595d ago

Dark Mirror was the best. Multiplayer and single player was fantastic

roadkillers595d ago

I never tried that one. Once the PS3 was out, I was done with PSP… I would love to see a new one
