just because it borrows the basic elements and basic theme of "Super Smash Bros."

All the while I'll buy and praise every COD/Halo product... (of which consequently borrow their elements and basic theme heavily from Wolfenstein 3D,)

Hello Everyone, I am your textbook anti-Sony fanboy. /s

Logic and reasoning is for the birds! Hate on anything and everything that bears even a slight resemblance to anything else that you have played before and even anything you have just read or heard of. /s

NOW I am out of character.

NegativeCreep4274211d ago (Edited 4211d ago )

What can I say to that? Learn to read, maybe? When you do, you'll interpret it like spoken language...if you don't fail Reading Class.

Sadly this is why articles are getting so bad. People have the attention span of a rock and can't read more than two lines lol

While I agree no game can down vague concepts like cross over, ring outs and other things, Superbot could have went the Jump Ultimate Stars or Super Smash Bros route and added some sort of life bar (ideally it's just not announced or I missed it). Since without that, I don't see it having real lasting appeal. (and yes I've played it.)

Godchild10204211d ago

I've played it as well. I found a lot of enjoyment and lasting appeal. The weapons and combat; I tried to use every weapon and use everyone's Super (Level 1, 2 & 3).

I personally don't believe it needs health bar as long as the modes vary, the story and the rivals make sense. To each their own, right.

November can't come soon enough.

hkgamer4211d ago

not saying i like SSB or Jump, but a life bar does make a fighting game feel like a fighting game.

The way to kill opponents does remind me of how dissidia works though.

smashcrashbash4211d ago (Edited 4211d ago )

Sorry but other people say otherwise. You saying that you would like it with a health bar doesn't translate to fact. Many people are enjoying the game and not griping about the health bar loss. Plus with extra modes that have different rules it will add to the challenge. sorry the health bar complaint is old and outdated. Try to get some new material. Ring outs were cheap ways to win and people have played STF4 and other fighting games without them and had no problems. People are just searching for reasons to hate on the game now that people are saying they enjoyed playing it.You don't have to like it but don't pretend it isn't functioning

nevin14211d ago

Says the biggest fanboy on the internet.

smashcrashbash4210d ago

Typical response from an ignorant gamer. You can't think of anything clever to say so you resort to childishness and name calling. I am always a fanboy when I try to make sense of something and don't just run around saying 'Sony sucks' every ten seconds.

nevin14210d ago

Again your showing fanboyism or just mad.

"don't just run around saying 'Sony sucks' every ten seconds"

lol, your way off.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Launched 10 Years Too Early

Though PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is a bit of a cult classic, it could have been a big hit if it launched in 2022 instead of 2012.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69519d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop519d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard519d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi519d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin519d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus526d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer525d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
