Treyarch's David Vondehaar sticks up for the Infinity Ward engine, which has been "significantly upgraded" this year. "It runs at 60 and it's gorgeous. What exactly is there to be upset about?"

Following the Wii U and 3DS servers being taken offline, Call of Duty Black Ops 2 and Ghosts are officially dead.
Call of Duty players are jumping into Black Ops 2 for the final time before its Wii U servers go offline for good.
Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play will be arriving sometime in the middle of Season 1. Treyarch is once again handling development of it.
I'll bite.
I don't min/max or alter controller schemes anymore because the default options suit me fine aside from aiming sensitivity, which was freakishly low on default.
But the matchmaking system still does that dissemble-reassemble which I hate and knew that my following games after my first overall score would increase In difficulty, i.e. drop shotters (many more examples)
You've got this ranked play but you have this spm scale that throws you against the sweatwall of hell (2 good games>1 bad game)
Swiftly uninstalled and I save 110+gb
They upgraded to new APIs so that next set of consoles will run it at even better resolutions and details. Not really much of an upgrade though.
The real test will be how the series looks on next-gen consoles. If they don't upgrade the engine then, they have no excuse.
SHEEPLE will continue to buy this lame franchise no matter how bad it looks.. if it's 60FPS and it rewards campers and campin-gameplay, then CoD nerds will continue to buy it every November, then complain and rage at the end product for the next 6 months afterwards.. it happens every year with CoD...
LOVE, how they feel the need to defend such ancient Quake tech..
Shoebox levels and 'anyone can excel game play mechanics' are what really entice the shallow minded COD washed humans.
Give them Battlefield @ 120fps in 4K and they would still pass it up for their lame, self gratifying shooter from the past.
