There have only been two main Zone of the Enders games thus far. However, Hideo Kojima did state a few months back that a new entry had entered the prototyping phase.
Could the project be called Zone of the Enders 3? That’d obviously make a huge amount of sense, but Amazon Italy seems to believe that this will indeed be its final name.

Mentioning HL3 despite the article having absolutely nothing to do with HL3 is a really cheap tactic for getting more clicks. It's really common.
People writing articles like "comon, hl3 is not getting released" and "RUMOR HL3 coming out tomorrow??!?!???" along with articles like these "vaporware: these games that I'm looking forwards to but probably won't get released. Oh, and also, HL3, needed to mention that" are too abundant.
It's getting old.
I definitely agree with Zone of the Enders 3. Konami's decision to cancel it based on sales of the HD collection really irritated me.

They should add Rocket Knight to that list. I don't think the revival was all that it could have been.

I still think that the very FPS, real world physics nature of many graphic engines prohibit the development of anything which doesn't have first or third person "real world" perspectives.

Agree. As much as i loved MGS (big fans here) i want Kojima to make something different with no Metal Gear on the cover box. ZoE had a lot of potential to be a great franchise just like MGS. But apparently Konami higher-ups only demand Kojima to make more and more MGS rather than give hime more creativity to try something fresh with new IP :(

it only makes sense, you can find articles about Zone of Enders 3 being in production since 2006, im not sure if this Amazon Italy listing is proof of it coming out soon though. but you have to think about it this way, most HD collections are meant to capture a new audience on current gen, while bringing in long time fans. but after the Metal Gear Solid HD collection coming out and then the announcement of Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeros, it only seems natural that a Zone of Enders 3 is incoming since Konimi and Kojima are releasing Zone of Enders HD collection. hope this Amazon listing jump starts an announcement!
people, buy the ZOE collection to send the message that we want ZOE 3 for real! ZOE 1 was crap but when Kojima became one of the directors (it has 3 directors) ZOE 2 happened and it was amazing!
If you like Evangelion and Gundam then you're gonna love ZOE (at least the second one).
