Despite the heavy hitters of 2012, a line-up which so far has included Mass Effect, Diablo 3, and Max Payne 3, there were an assortment of games that flew under the radar. While I agree somewhat with The Darkness 2, I personally thought the first game was better and was more interesting than the sequel. The first game had some lovely touches that set it apart from the rest, I don't think the second game did that.
I've only played three out of the five listed (on PC), but I agree; The Darkness 2, Sleeping Dogs, and The Walking Dead (so far), are all great games. Out of those three, my expectations for Sleeping Dogs was the lowest and I would say it was my favorite!
