Last month’s debut of PlayStation Move-based horror game Until Dawn generated enough intrigue to propel the game onto at least one news site’s best of gamescom list. And after watching a 30-minute gameplay demonstration of this cheeky horror game at gamescom, it wasn’t hard to see why. The game oozes confidence and style: its immersive use of the PlayStation Move motion controller (from flipping levers to tugging zippers), rapid-fire banter, and unabashed reliance on genre tropes all point to a game that’s determined to push horror gaming into uncharted territory.
Leaked screenshots from Sony Interactive Entertainment and Ballistic Moon's upcoming remake of Until Dawn have reportedly emerged.
Doesn't look any different to the ps4 version. Hope it's not another lazy Sony remaster a.k.a remake.
A good game, had some fps troubles on ps4. So hopefully thats ironed out with some better looking graphics.
I think Sony should rename PlayStation to RemakeStation. I am a Playstation fan but this is getting ridiculous. I think this is the weakest gen software-wise compared to all other gen.
PS2 > PS3 > PS1 > PS4 > PS5
An early new Until Dawn comparison video has been released, comparing the visuals from the upcoming UE5 version to those of the 2015 original.
This is a fun game. But remaking this is lazy. A cheap remaster while a new game is being developed would have had more value for the customer.
Tim and Luis talk what they’ve been watching and playing along with the news from the past week, including all the games from Sony’s “State of Play,” Evil West, Silent Hill: The Short Message, Hideo Kojima weirdness, Spec Ops: The Line delisted and more!
my most anticipated game from Gamescom
Is this game on rails? or do you use the navi controller? I saw that you use the T button to walk faster.
this looks like a 29 dollar game
'During development, we did a lot of testing to make sure that there was a pacing to the fear. We did galvanic skin response (GSR) tests, which sounds quite technical, but it measures the conductivity of people’s skin — like a lie detector.'
That is hardcore, this game will be the scariest this gen has ever seen.
Sounds like a REAL focus on horror in terms of psychological and atmospheric fear, and also gore. Can see the Heavy Rain influence, in terms of control and multiple story/character branching. Although this seems quite campy by comparison.
