Top 20 Sonic the Hedgehog Zones

This list was initially created to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The idea was to go through each Sonic game and pick out my favourite zones. Well, last year I played through 52 zones spanning the classic Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, and Sega CD games. Out of those 52 zones, I managed to narrow this list down to 20. It was grueling to replay each game, but now I can proudly present you the Top 20 Sonic the Hedgehog Zones.

An interesting list. You seem to be a fan of only the older games in the series though. Which is fine but a bit of a shame when you've missed out everything post 1996.

Also I never really liked Sonic CD, Stardust Speedway was great, but everything else was just forgettable to me.

I do like the older games better, but this list was meant to explore the classic 2D games only; it's briefly mentioned in the opening paragraph.

I've played many of the newer games and could make an entire list based on them.

I also like the bonus zones, they were creative for the time and quite fun!

The bonus zones were so much fun. That I would try and get into them as much as possible after playing through a zone

Sandopolis was awesome, that and level two (sonic and knuckles) forgot the name are my favorites.

Such a great game, definitely my favorite in the sonic series.

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol
