1UP Preview- Assassin's Creed III: Liberation's Reach Might Exceed Its Grasp

1UP- I've never viewed my portable platforms as simply smaller versions of home consoles. After all, the skills needed in the art of writing a short story are much different than those required to flesh out a sprawling novel. The handheld games that have captured my attention throughout the years were all specifically designed with the hardware and mobile mentality in mind.

Titles from the original Pokemon to Sound Shapes seemed to be aware of their role in my gaming life, and never tried to just be smaller versions of what I play on my television. While Assassin's Creed III: Liberation is undoubtedly a monumental feat in putting a massive world onto a handheld, I can't help but feel like an adventure of this scope wasn't meant to unravel in the palms of my hands.

A dev's reach should exceed it's grasp. Or what's a Vita for?

I somewhat agree. With Ac3 coming out the same day as this, I know what i'll be picking up. And yes im a Vita owner. I guess it doesn't help that I find the main character completely unlikable

Loved his English accent. But as an assassin, he was an out n out pirate.

Ezio! Plus leonardo davinci made all his fancy killing gear. Nuff said.

EDIT: And Ezio was the best dressed too. They nailed that italian flair with his outfit. Most stylish assisn too, then!

GigawattConduit3109d ago

Man, I would love a film of Ezio and da Vinci together, just on adventures. They're the perfect duo.

guitarded773109d ago

Ezio is the bestest assassinz. The other characters don't even compare. Conner was the worst.

PerfidiousSinn3109d ago

Ezio has a half-cape. He wins by default.

The secret to the awesomeness of the Assassins has finally been revealed!

Ezio

Hands down and he has the coolest full name

Ezio Auditore da Firenze

GigawattConduit3109d ago

Pretty sure that's Italian for "I'M THE BEST AND I CONQUER ALL OF YOU"

Heyxyz3109d ago

Best: Ezio!

Worst: The one from Unity (he was so bad I forgot his name).

GigawattConduit3109d ago

Hey, he wasn't that bland! His name was Brad, jeez.

Castlevania3109d ago

Arno. He was kinda bland (or so people say).

Mystogan3109d ago

Nah the worst was Ratuhnkahetun AKA Connor.

Dark_Overlord3108d ago

Totally agree, I hate AC3 due to him. How could they create such an unlikable character :/ I preferred Haytham to him.
