Wii U’s Gamepad is not a tablet, and is distinguishable in that it can do a lot of things that your average tablet cannot. That was the sentiment from Nintendo of America head Reggie Fils-Aime in a new interview with the NY Times.

Reggie is actually a creative marketing manager. He is the real deal. I think the guy might even be above average in the sales department. He got people to accept cheaply made products for extremely high prices and not only accept the situation but to defend him in a way to make sure their favorite sales manager gets rich, and on top of all of this, he kept the pop-culture train rolling. The dude is a true hustler.

all the Wii U is, is a console version of a DS. the tablet is the bottom screen while the tv is the top screen. which is very good because the DS works well and has great games.
What I like about the gamepad is they so many way you can use it like black ops 2 for example instead of having a split screen One person can view the game thru the gamepad as the Other view the game thru the tv
