5 Games That Were Genuinely Funny (And Need Sequels!)

This is the sequel to the Alien Lion's '10 Forgotten Games That Should Have Been Franchises' list. Here, he is counting down 5 funny games that needed sequels:

One thing Uwe Boll got right in his myriad of shitty video game movies was the humor. Video game humor tends to be as brainless and lowbrow as it comes and if you ever actually laugh, it’s more of a “it’s supposed to be funny so I’ll go along” type of a chuckle, rather than a genuine lol. Well, let’s remember and salute the exceptions, the games that went for the challenge of achieving the funny and succeeded.

Why won't MS let RARE make another Conker or Killer Instinct for that matter? I know each one would sell more than Kinect Star Wars and MS put all their power behind that flop.

Was Sorcery, Socom 4, Starhawk and Twisted Metal a flop? Because last I checked, Kinect Star Wars outsold them.

Ok none of those games you mentioned are flops because they weren't big budget games and they sold well to recoup the costs of development. I looked up how much kinect star wars sold. 850k which most of came from that R2D2 designed 360 bundle. It amazes me how 360 owners will buy shit like that instead the games RARE made that were actually great games. The only ones that sold over a million were PDZ Kameo(both were launch games) and the first Viva pinata which was released in 2006. But the sequel to Viva and Banjo Kazooie nuts and bolts only sold 440k and 710k. If banjo was on a Nintendo console it would have sold over two million easily. So it shows you how much Microsoft cares about RARE when they would rather market kinect games instead of RAREs original titles and have them exclusively make kinect shovelware. Back to how you were talking shit about the SOny exclsuives which you do on every article. I'll give you the number how each one sold.
Sorcery-100k move title very small budget.
socom 4-720k Yea its sold more than B&KNB by 10k and its only been released for a year while banjo kazooie was released in 08
Starhawk- 160k which Sony said was good for this type of game with no marketing at all. Game definitely deserves more sales. Trust me once the price drops it will sell more
Twisted Metal- 530k which i great for a game that has been dormant for about 11 years and was gonna be a psn title originally so that shows you how much it cost to make. It will sell a million eventually.
So to sum everything up at least Sony takes chances to make these unique games and will support them no matter what unlike Microsoft has done with RARE

Killer Instinct on the SNES was great, the one on N64 flopped and wasn't as good. I'm afraid the original came at a time when it could flourish, now days fighting games don't exactly sell very well, especially exclusive fighting games. You would be looking at 500k - 1.5 million tops. People have to be realistic when it comes to games and producing games.

Actually most fighting games this generation have been multiplatform and they're not doing that much better than console-exclusive ones.
