Battlefield 3: Armored Kill DLC Review (PlanetPlayStation)

"A lot of people have been on the fence about EA’s offered Battlefield 3: Premium package, dismissing it as that company’s version of the “Call of Duty Elite” package, but without the exhaustive online options for clans and so forth. But I think DICE had a different approach to Premium, looking to expand the action itself rather than the technical data behind it. They’re not concerned with how someone jumps into the action, just as long as they do it. Their first DLC for Battlefield, Back To Karkand, wasn’t half bad, though there really wasn’t enough in this pack to separate what you were doing in the main game. It was good, though, especially for fans."

I hate COD comparisons ....BF3 is way superior...a thinking man's FPS MP game as opposed to CODS invincible Rambo approach.

Basically...COD's MP is mindless layman fun

I hate to admit it, but as a competitive CoD player, i cannot seem to get the whole bf3 thing down, i get my arse handed to me constantly.

The thing is you have to play "Defensive" and move along with the squad & team.

i.e. Don't be a lone wolf and run around as in COD.

play as a team first, the thing with BF3 is that the movement just allows you to get in position. There is no maneuvering past a group of high-ranked players. If they are working in a squad and you are working alone, you will always lose. Try to get the upper hand in a gun fight. Shooting first doesn't not always mean you will kill them first. BF3 made it so you could react to gunfire and get a chance to fight back, unless they are caught in the open. So stick to cover, move defensively (Don't rush an enemy squad) and try to play mind-tricks with the enemy; anticipate where they are going to move.

Thanks fellas, i would say that is alot of my problem is trying to go rambo all the time. None of my CoD squad play bf3, i need to get a good squad sounds like also.

This DLC is aweful, Attackers always win. CQ was a better overall dlc.

It's no real fun on console. I rather have a new map pack that wasn't focused on vehicle warfare and also to add more new guns.

Battlefield is mostly about Vehicle Warfare.

If you like Close Quarters more than other maps then you're doing it wrong.

It was fun for a few days but I find myself playing the regular maps more then AK now. 24 Player limit really kills it on PS3/360

You can change filter to play tdm on AK maps instead of the full size map

The DLC is awful on console no doubt but man I would love to see Armored Kill on the PC especially where there is 64 players.Im tired of driving around looking for some people to kill instead I just find the gnomes and shoot them instead just find it fulfilling.lol

I think they did a good job on making ak work on console
