I got this game on PC because it looks like crap on the PS3 and 360, but I get this annoying Daytime stutter that drives me crazy. I can't even play the game during the day even on the lowest settings with shadows turned off and everything. It's fine at night though. How do I solve that one?

StayStatic4240d ago

Turn V sync off ? or if ATI turn off AMD optimised tessellation and make sure everything is application controlled , first things I usually try.

brich2334240d ago

What graphics card and processor are you using? In the daytime my Fps dropped to a 30 avg when playing in the daytime and drivin. On foot i had no problems 60fps. Night time i would get 90's. It depends on the area. I used a Msi 7770. Use Fraps if you want to moniterize your FPS.

PersonMan4239d ago

It doesn't look like a low framerate during the day, but rather a smooth framerate that is interrupted every second or so.

It's like smooth, pause, smooth, pause, smooth, pause and so on.

If it just dropped to 30fps and stayed like that, I wouldn't mind.

Looks like crap on PS3 and 360?
STFU and get a better TV

PersonMan4239d ago

Are you serious dude? Are you saying that this game looks good on PS3 and 360? Open your friggin eyes man.

So I'm guessing you like:

Screen Tearing
Low Res Textures
Jaggies
Sub 720p resolution
30fps framerate

On PC, I get none of those issues, but I do get this one annoying issue which hopefully they can solve so I can play the game.

omi25p4239d ago

I haven't had a single issue with frame rate or screen tearing. I haven't noticed any low res textures. In fact i think the game looks pretty good.

Im going to guess you haven't played it on either 360 or ps3 and you are a typical pc elitist.

PersonMan4238d ago

You obviously don't know what screen tearing is then because both console versions have it and it's quite noticeable.

I loved sleeping dogs when i started it but i cant bring myself to finish it

Sucitta4239d ago

no problems on my outdated xbox = ) runs smooth as butter and looks fine on my 55 led. I rarely get out my magnifying glass to check the textures and pixels.

also when using my 240hz sexy motion setting, the fps look gorgeous.

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil3d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai3d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing692d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle2d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa2d ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal2d ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.

watching the video is better then going through 31 pages of gamingbolt.

Do they explain in the video why there are two numbers 3? Starfield and Tears of the Kingdom?

It's always refreshing to see games embracing the streaming community.

Bloodborne is a game I still restart and play every few months. I would welcome just a re release in 60fps with a visual upgrade. It's a perfect game. If I was king for a day I would include the randomizer mods because then it would be a kind of rogue like and I could play it forever.

gleepot349d ago

Sure, ill take a sequel to all of these.
