Ghost Recon Online 'on hold' for Wii U

The Wii U version of Ghost Recon Online has been put "on hold", Ubisoft has confirmed.

Talking to VideoGamer.com earlier today, Ghost Recon Online's producer Theo Sanders revealed that development of the Wii U version had ceased to offer the team the opportunity to focus "completely on the PC version".

"As of right now, the entire Ghost Recon team is focused on the PC version only," Sanders revealed. "The Wii U version is on hold.

I don't really care about this.The WiiU has enough ports as it is.Or was this a new game?

This is a PC and Wii U game. And its still in development.

Not as many as PS3 had at its launch. 2 exclusives and the rest are ports...

And you're telling me about the PS3 launch games for what reason? I asked if this was a port of GR:FS or not,I never said anything about WiiU's launch games.
Why do you Nintendo guy go crazy over the word port? If you're not pretending they don't exsist on your console of choice,you're reminding other people that is all there console has.

Is Nintendo's network even ready yet? Considering how Nintendo hasn't even said much about it.

What does your question have to do with Ghost Recon? Of course Nintendo has their online network ready. Why are they getting games that have online multiplayer like Tekken and Mass Effect 3?

Well since they've been using it on 3DS games already since before the summer I think that would be a yes. All of the features might not be ready for the Wii U's store and everything, but the Nintendo Network itself has been up yes.

I'm sure it will eventually be canned for development on wii-u, & will be moved to PS4/Xbox Next. Ubisoft don't just halt production on games in the Tom Clancy series for nothing....Between Sphincter Smell & this, they along with Rainbow 6 are there key milkage brands in the shooter category. Obviously, wii-u is struggling to run the game, simple as that....there wouldn't be any other reason Ubisoft would halt a cashcow like this.

i think this is a good idea that they are putting this on hold so that they can get it right before they port it over to the Wii U and i understand from a business point that this is a good way to approach the Wii U if you are not yet ready to do anything yet.
