Lollipop Chainsaw is Suda51′s biggest seller. Does this Enforce the notion “Sex Sells Best”?

At the Lollipop Chainsaw Summer Appreciation event, CEO Yoshimi Yasuda states the figures of how well Suda's latest outing did in terms of games shipped internationally.

If I'm not mistaken it's also their first game on PS3 and Xbox 360 not a port of a Wii game that had a lot of advertising unlike Shadows of the Dead.

Oh wow just noticed I subconsciously wrote Shadows of the Dead instead of Shadows of the Damned.

Sex might sell, but the game was actually quite fun, even though it was on the short side. I like having a good time when playing a game, and I did with Lollipop Chainsaw.

No doubt sex sells. Gaming demograph is makes.
It's a no brainer. But Suda didn't just give us a over sexualized chractiture...Juliette was a campy fun strong female lead. If we have to take a little of column a to get gamers to see column b....I'm down with that.

But it also contextual. The new tomb raider needs a whole different approach, which looks like they are doing.

Now I just want Juliette in a fighter. Lol

(fighters by far are the worst for over sexing females. Often the story is tacked on....adding no meaningful reeasoning behind chracters designs and attitudes.)

inreresting question, but I think it's gameplay that people were interested in.. I'm too, Suda's games may not have super mechanics, but I love stories, characters, enemies, boses and fun factor that not many devs can achieve for me like suda & platinum games , I just hope that more and more people would become PG & Grasshopers fans, maybe some will? ;)

I would be able n for a shadows of the damned movie. If it could be done in an (older) Evil Dead movie or the series fashion, they might be cooking with fire.

Actually Ryan Gosling makes a ton of sense.

Edit: If this can be done in a Scott Pilgrim movie kind of way that would be dope.

The more I think about it, the more I kinda want it to be a thing lol. Ryan Gosling would be awesome. He would need to play it less serious, but he's shown that he can be a goofball.
