Looks next-gen for in engine shots. Not exactly photo realistic though. Still looks great though. Would like to see these shots in motion.

With the ease of use UE4 looks like it could really streamline game development. Giving us much better games with less resources. Tools like these are whats gonna keep devolpment cost under control next gen. Hopefully we'll see less studios go belly up.

DoomeDx4253d ago

I still think that Cryengine 3+ will beat it in terms of graphics.

Ue4 will be more user friendly however.

modesign4254d ago

its doing what 3dx max could do 5yrs ago, congrats,

kcuthbertson4254d ago

I think we're going to see a big jump in lighting next gen and not so much in the resolution and texture area. I don't think there is much point in trying to push past 1080p just yet.

shutUpAndTakeMyMoney4254d ago (Edited 4254d ago )

This looks sick! But seeing as it will be used mostly for multiplats game I can't imagine what future PC exclusive games and Naughty Dog games will look next gen. Most likely will look even better than this which is insane.

Begin of this gen..

End of this gen..

Not much difference in your pics u posted except i do know KZ3 uses some cool FX that u would only see in PC games.

You would hope most Next Gen console games would look like Crysis 1 PC or Battlefield 3 PC or Metro 2033 PC.

we will just have to wait and see!

Fans??? This is done by one person

WoodsRatesGames1079d ago

Someone else was commissioned to do the music and another person modelled the batmobile. Links to all involved are included in the article.

Gaming4Life19811080d ago

They should have been made a batman game for the best batman movie. This looks amazing and now I must watch the movie.

Am I crazy or is there an Unreal Engine 5 now? Why promote old tech?

waverider1100d ago

I really dont understand either? isnt the Unreal Engine 5 already available for studios? arent they already working with it?

masterfox1100d ago

UE5 Is for PS5 only, deal with it! :D

***runs away from this thread with pride!**

Tacoboto1100d ago

UE5 is not released yet and developers for years will still make UE4 games because that's where their tools and customizations are.

Mortal Kombat still uses UE3. Mass Effect Legendary Edition is also still UE3.

Magog1100d ago

That more of an embarrassing indictment of those devs than a reason to promote old software.

Tacoboto1100d ago

Embarrassing indictment? You know nothing of software development then.

Spenok1100d ago (Edited 1100d ago )

Because a ridiculous amount of the industry still uses 4, and because no, 5 is not out yet. They said it would launch later this year.

AuraAbjure1100d ago

Companies still use Unreal Engine 3.

Really impressive tech but I don’t even notice all of these benefits in real life, never mind being chased by zombies in a video game. Rather devote resources to resolution and frame rate.

Magog1100d ago

If you suddenly stopped casting reflections in a mirror I think you would notice.

Yes after seeing the Unreal 5 ps5 reveal, I thought that's where we were heading. But saying that I have read various articles that suggest its easy for developers to still work on Unreal 4 and carry everything over to Unreal 5 when needed, we shall see.
