“Assassin’s Creed 3 is a franchise, like Mario or Resident Evil,” says Ubisoft

Assassin’s Creed 3 creative director Alex Hutchinson has defended Ubisoft’s decision to release the IP annually, stating it’s all part of the triple-A process.

I worry about games that become annual like this. I feel they'll get boring faster and tend to have a "Meh" approach to them. I couldn't finish Ezio's 3rd and final outing as a result.

The leap from Brotherhood to Revelations was kinda small. 3 looks like it will change a good amount but Revelations just felt tacked on.

Assasins creed games are usually around the 20-25hr mark out of which 15 hrs is just climbing lmao

and most of the time your in gt5 your racing, most of the time your in rpg's you grinding or getting better items, so what is your point?

Umm in a racing game if your not in your car then theres something wrong.

Assassins Creed should be called Rock Climbing Adventures.

I mean it worked in AC1 but then every sequel the buildings got taller and taller and the climbing just became such a borefest.

there are some big buildings yes? but you can easily get up most buildings in three of four moves, but it's set in the 1400 he's not going to fly or have a body suit that gives him superpowers.

really? These guys are way over their heads. Sure, AC3 looks pretty sweet and all that, but I really didn't care for the previous titles.

It's a big franchise, I give them that, but they have done nothing that's innovative like super mario or resident evil.

i'm a fan. Admittedly my biggest gripe is the combat system but hopefully its changing. They could add more stealth too but overall i enjoy going to these different times and places and i think the story is pretty good overall. Has good music too. Its not a hard game and would be cool if they added difficulty levels.

AC2 was milked out quite alot but AC3 seems to be a really good game.

The AC games are too easy, there really isnt any skill to them at all

Im not hating on the series, i bought 3 of the games on day 1, but i wont be buying AC3 (i shall rent it), it took me ages to finish Revelations, its all too samey

Ive always liked and hated assassins creed

My issue with assassins creed is lack of stealth & adventure.

The main story is fun, but has really stretched its welcome. And the side stuff is super meaningless. Feels like padding.

The last one I think had this cool vlad the impaler tomb. That was fun. More side story with actual story would be nice. Sadly, this asscreed 3 time period to me is not very interesting.

The comparision should have been AC is like COD, they both release games every year, but milked is milked, Mario and Resident Evil get milked too, changes in gameplay doesn't change the name on the box and the whole theme : /

I have to say Ubi is the only one trying to push the series forward. Sure the gameplay is always similar as it should be but they keep it fresh.

as long as its fresh Like changing the cities often, a good story, new chartaters etc... I dont mind..
