Sonic The Hedgehog Was A Villain

Among gamers of a certain age, it’s no secret that Sonic the Hedgehog was kind of a dick. But was Sonic the Hedgehog actually the villain of all of those early SEGA titles ?

Yup. Totally the villain.

Stole thousands (probably millions) of rings from the land, took the lives of some well deserved powerful beasts and reincarnated into little animals that probably got slaughtered, and he just didn't see that Dr. Eggman was just misjudged and just needed some friends.

:)

Did I mention he also broke the speed law about 1000 times.... :P

Niiiice... Someone who gets it, haha.

hkgamer4266d ago

stupid article... waste of time reading...
robotnik/eggman was blatantly kidnapping animals so that they could pilot/provide energy to his robots so that he could rule the world.
i know i am not supposed to take this article seriously, but atleast write something that could be a tiny bit plausible

matgrowcott4266d ago

Yeah. It's articles like these that undermine the importance of anthropomorphic creatures in our society.

AlexGalbraith4266d ago

Plausible? It's a game about a sneakers-wearing hedgehog who can run fast enough break the speed of sound set in a world where loop-de-loops are naturally- occurring formations.

I..I just have no words.

hkgamer4266d ago

plausible in the sonic world.
he just ignored everything and pointed out sonic was a bad guy with absolute no evidence... i know it was a joke but just make it sound believable.

Ladybird books told me otherwise.

Nexgensensation4266d ago

maybe that would bring life back to the series...

Sega sells Relic and will cut 240 jobs across UK studios

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Relic is best known for the Company of Heroes and Dawn of War games, and recently developed the new Age of Empires for Microsoft. Relic will transition to an independent studio and will no-longer be part of the Sega group of studios.

The majority of the 240 job cuts are across Creative Assembly and Sega Europe, while there will be a ‘small number’ cut from Sega HARDLight. There was no mention of other Sega UK studios, including Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive."

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken25d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake26d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Jingsing26d ago

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol

SEGA’s Switch Predecessor: What Happened to the Nomad?

Sega had such a turbulent existence from the mid-90s to when they dropped out of console manufacturing entirely in 2001, it’s understandable if you’ve never heard of the Genesis Nomad.
