He also stated that consumers were increasingly moving to the mobile space, and he felt that cloud technology was related to that movement, hinting that the the future of PlayStation could be cross-platform
Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "what better wait to wish him well in his future endeavors than to recall our favorite moments from his time at Sony? That’s what we’re doing today in a special KOTRC that looks back at the man, the legend, the Kaz."
My favorite moment is when he turned the Sony ship around resulting in almost the utter destruction of their opponent in every important metric you can come up with that shut the mouths of the opposition and the naysayers that Sony would not be in the driver's seat. Resulting in worthless metrics from other parties to cover up the truth.
My most favorite moment.
I have a lot of favorite Kaz Hirai moments, but it's inappropriate to mock him at this retirement.

xbox vs ps will never happen though. :(
Seems to me they're trying hold options for "in-case" scenarios that may appear next-gen. Sony completely overlooked the online phenomenon on the PS3 hence was severely disadvantaged initially from the 360's standpoint. It seems they're doing the opposite and trying to prepare for any possible directions the gaming industry might face with minimal losses.
The cloud has been talked about for 5 years now, this is a really slow take off.
I am still reluctant to be part of cloud gaming and cloud based things i prefer to have more physical medium of storage.
Will that be along side the horrid input lag.... LOL
when exactly is Gaikai gonna be available?
