GRID 2: 'We needed to spend more time developing our technology'

CVG- Codies see evolution and escalation as a pivotal parts of GRID 2's race day experience. And we're not just talking about the obvious transformation of your garage from grimy basement tinkeryard to sleek, high-tech showroom, either.

Tracks have distinct evolutionary states dependent on your fame and wallet. Don't expect stands full of spectators in GRID 2's early hours: the roadsides will be empty. The bunting and the crowds only start to appear once you've built a reputation.

We had a chat with executive producer Clive Moody, who talked us through the all the changes and improvements being made for the sequel.

Cockpit view should definitely be a standard in racing games so hopefully it will be there.

They already stated in an interview with Gametrailers that they have dumped the cockpit view.

No Cockpit view = No Buy....End of story (kill your game if you want to, but no cockpit view is a huge mistake)

You say less then 5 percent used it, Ok I don't know what gave you that number, but I know for a fact it's wrong, just Look at how many people are upset about not having it.

Future of GRID2 -sales on release..

No cockpit view = 58,000 , yeah 58 thousand you read that right..

Your in serious trouble Codemasters, mark my words.. you just turned GRID2 into FUEL (remember that game, seem like a good idea at the time) and GRID 2 will now be a huge disaster...

So you say code master is making up numbers and you go and make up numbers to try and make a valid point? Good one. Im pretty sure they had software that would send back information on how the user played during online games. They aren't just pulling these numbers out of thin air, like you.

I'm sure they do have software that tells them this but you can interpret those numbers any way you want, if you don't ask then you really don't know..

Example - 1.how many of those gamers play off-line - yeah a lot - were is that data, oh yeah you don't have any...

2.and this one is exactly what I do (which is why I was so pissed to hear this stupid decision) out of the one's playing online how many are not using cockpit view because online has so many problems like lag and syncing up that it's hard enough just trying to win the race, so you tend to not use cock-pit view here because the race and your record is on the line.

Hence you tend to use an easier view like outside the car for online. That in no way means I don't use Cockpit view, I use it all the time off line, when playing the game and when it's running fine without lag and people ramming my car from the side and back.

So my point was you can look at data all you want but the real users of the view are not being counted because you never asked them.. you just made an assumption based off of your not accurate data.

(because I just showed you how that data could be wrong) That's a really bad move for a game company to make, especially when they should know better..

Data is only one side of the story, user feedback is the other side of that data, and it's missing.
