- Announcement reveal is probably related to the GamesCom.

Rockstar loves to overshadow thier rival games on release week, this happend with saints row 3 back in november when they release the debut trailer, and it will happen again this month with sleeping dogs

I could definitely see that happening. Sleeping Dogs releases on the 14th.
Although, I think that if it is GTA5, I don't see it being that big of news.
I wouldn't expect it to be a release, possibly just a gameplay video.

@Kryis: Actually, Rockstar has always given GI a big scoop on info since GTA3. They always have a huge blow out of info and screen shots. I wouldn't be surprised if that happens again.

But that generally relates to the magazine.

This seems to be more so about the actual announcement of a new game.

Hhahaha, in typical game informer fassion. I myself would love a sequel or continuation of Legacy of Kain (it is the same day as sony is etc etc).

I rememebr them hyping up the biggest event in the galaxy, which turned out to be the south park RPG lol (which I will be getting day 1, I love south park).

It will probably only apply to a very minute minority, like a sequel to vampire rain lol.

What if it's a coup?

The popular assumption seems to be that it's a PS announcement, what if it isn't?

What if Microsoft plans to steal whatever thunder Sony was planning or, if it's Nintendo with some amaznig Wii U news? It did say publisher so I'm thinkng maybe it's Bungies new game or something equally as suprising.

Then again, it's probably all hype-kind of like the Uncharted 3 news.

Why do people want GTA5 to be "REVEALED"?? Think about what I'm asking, this is a "BIG REVEAL", GTA5 was already "revealed", it's nothing new, so who cares? My question is, why would you WANT it to be GTA5 when WE already know it's coming? I would never want a "BIG REVEAL" to be something I've already seen, I want to see GTA5 gameplay as well... but not as a "REVEAL", this seems way too big in my view to be something so mundane, sorry guys.

I'm hoping for something on the level of exciting as Half Life 3, there has been an immense amount of talk about it, as I am doubtful it is HL3 I do know HL3 is not far from now, I'm pretty good at calling things before they happen, and I already "called" HL3 signs being brought to the public 1 week in advance right before the "SOURCE 2 Engine" files were discovered just a couple days ago in the Valve Movie Maker files.
