collecting is one of a type, even if it's the same game that has several types.

Hoarding is more than one of the same type of game.

Or so I thought...?

Hoarding is more like having stuff just to have it. Games you don't care about, games that suck, games you'll never play. The condition doesn't matter, you just want the game.

That's hoarding.

If you only collect a certain type of game, or if you collect them in mint condition- even if you never intend to play them- then you're a collector.

I don't think there are many- if ANY- video game hoarders out there, because gaming is such an entertainment-based hobby, and few people collect games they don't like, or games in poor condition.
