Need For Speed: Most Wanted - Better with Kinect?

The Xbox 360 version of Need For Speed: Most Wanted could include Kinect support, a new trailer for the game has suggested.

lol this is what they said with Forza, and of course it sucked as Forza requires extremely accurate steering, breaking and accelerating at precise times, and guess what Kinect is? One made for the casuals, that's what.

The Wii had it right with their arcadey casual racers playing with goofy peripherals, there's an audience for that. A simulation racing game being utilized with your hands stretched out with no steering wheel? Give me a break. Oh look I can open my door when I'm just staring at the car in its garage with my hand.... *crickets chirping*

The question here was "better with Kinect", it didn't make Forza better (unless you really want to convince people the zero-skill-required kinect forza mode was actually worth your time) and it won't make any other racing game better. Nuff said.

Guess I will be getting this for PS3. Too bad Madden is not as good on PS3, as it is on 360, or I would've gotten that for PS3 as well. IDK why developers have to put Kinect crap in games. It has no use whatsoever. If you do out Kinect crap in it, Plz don't put any achievements in the game related to Kinect.

Forza with Kinect support works just fine. And I think NFS will be fine too.

If there's head tracking up to par with Forza 4 I'll... well I won't buy the Kinect for myself, but I'll definitely keep an eye on people who use it/watch from afar.

I can't wait for motion gaming to die. Thanks nintendo u a holes for selling a ton of wiis, and making ms and sony get involved with the bs that is motion gaming. Kinect has been out for how long now? And doesn't have one decent title that isnt a dancing game. The move sucks too. Lets move on people.

Kinect used to take Profile Picture. As your can see in the trailers next to peoples gamer tags there's a real picture of someone.

In Criterion's Burnout Paradise they used the reg Xbox 360 Camera to do this.

Even if it was, I am not going to wave my arms around for hours. Kinect is a good idea on paper, but in reality its just not practical. And I own one. I wish Nintendo had never been successful with the Wii.

How many games are actually BETTER with Kinect? I'm not saying the Kinect itself is bad; the idea behind it is great.

But I haven't seen ANY game where Kinect's inclusion made the game better.

Or, I should say: I haven't seen a game where Kinect has added a significant improvement in performance over a less expensive peripheral.

It can add head tracking for NFS like it did in Forza, but I can't see that it would add anything else. And even THAT doesn't seem like it would be helpful, as most of the time, I've only seen people play OUTSIDE the cockpit in NFS games... except Shift.

If it's REALLY gonna add something significant, then go for it. But if it's gonna be the same old thing games have had for years- like voice commands- that could have been done without Kinect, or some other shoehorned feature, then it shouldn't even be mentioned.

ME3 is better with Kinect commands. So is Skyrim inventory and commands.

It's called an added level of immersion. Even something simple like Fruit Ninja is more enjoyable with Kinect because it involves the gamer much more than simply using the controller.

I've used the camera on my Playstation 3 for GT5 and it just adds that extra layer to feeling like your driving. Driving wheels did it before and now the camers adds another dimension. Forza does the same thing now.

Using voice commands can also blend while you play a game because of instead pasing the game or fumbling with the controller trying to access commands you can simply just say it.

Dance Central is also a huge hit, can you imagine playing that agme now with a standard controller? Try playing that on the Playstation Move, you need to hold the Move wand for Just Dance, that's not being immersive. That's showing the limitation of the 3D camera and hwo the Move is tracked, not you.

The problem with someone like the above poster is they don't want to enjoy it. It's like hating romace movies while being dragged to see it with your girlfriend. That means the movie has to be that much better for you to change your opinion. How many of these people haven't even tried Kinect but already have a strong opinion about how much they would like it?

Regardless if Kinect is added or not; it is OPTIONAL!! You are not forced to use it, so why ALL the complaining, whinging, bitching & moaning? My God the level of maturity on this site is sickening!
