Nothing "alleged" about it. Sam Lake has quoted the blog before.

That would be great if they announce Alan Wake 2.

Going to be announced as an Xbox 720 launch game in my opinion. Cannot wait until next years E3, maybe it will get the terrible taste out of my mouth from this past E3 (Aside from Ubisoft).

Patiently waiting for Alan Wake 2......

Despite the seemingly poor PC optimization (I have a high-end PC, yet can't hit 60 frames on medium settings?), the game was very much a good game. I'd love to see a sequel.

You have to use custom options. Turn SSAO on low, the AA down to x4, and shadows to medium. Everything else is on max for me. I get anywhere from 30-60 fps. Most of the time I get 45 fps.

mynameisEvil4285d ago

Yeah, I did that. And you also helped me prove my point. There's no reason that I should get anything less than 60 with the computer I have. Just sayin'.

what video card do you have? I have a gtx 550 ti.

Alan Wake 2 Benchmark & PC Optimized Settings

With path-traced diffuse lighting and reflections even the mighty RTX 4090 can't hit 60 FPS at 4K without frame generation.

One Alan Wake 2 Detail Sticks Out Like a Sore Thumb

The thing that sticks out for me is no physical copy still

A haunted 4k OLED doesn't quite hit the same. Analog horror is a genre for a reason, they matry much better than digital and horror. Like which sounds better, a haunted VHS or a haunted PDF

You're spot on. Plus, having old technology is world-building. It immediately makes you question (even subconsciously) why an old television still exists there. It adds character and background in a subtle way. It is unsettling for the player, and attracts their attention in the best possible way because something about it isn't right.

Damn. I was hoping this would happen faster. Control were both fantastic, albeit flawed. Hoping for more. I know he said they are planning sequels, but its hard to get investors and publishers on board when they don't see quick returns.

For how much people talk about this title you would think it was a much bigger success. Popularity doesn't equal quality and vice versa tho

Are they gonna keep their head up their ass and continue with the digital only bs

Jingsing25d ago

Probably, They've always been a greedy studio to the point of making bad decisions and losing money.
