It was Sony Computer Entertainment specifically that announced the deal to acquire Gaikai. It wasn't Sony Corporation as a whole.
Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.
This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.
cool idea
cool idea for horror games especially
the way it's explained here sounds like it could never be forced hopefully, so that's ok with me
Sony has recruited Bungie's head of revenue Jaremy Rich to head up its live-service gaming division, Rich has announced on social media.
Please do not put Destiny’s monetization into Sony’s first party games. The monetization is what’s driving players away from Destiny.
I mean, this person made some pretty bad decisions at Bungie. I hope they've learned from them because I definitely don't see those type of ideas as good for PlaySation in general.
Ps5 gamers in 2023 seemed to play more live service types of games, so regardless to how people feel about them, numbers don’t lie and Sony is going where the money is. I mean look at the excitement around Helldivers2, people are showing that they want live service games.
How do you kill a franchise that already been killed?
Destiny’s grind, cash-in-on-playbass-cha-Ching, and pop-culture-insertion mainstream-me-too bs totally killed any rep Bungie had. Sony/Bungie, if you are doing this to ward-off players, it’s already working.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
I read that wrong at first.... thought it said "won't be used for Sony's Gaming machines"....
didn't see the 'just'...lol
I can't wait to see how they implement Gaikai, overall...
Hmmmmmmm........... I wonder if Gaikai can be used with all pieces of hardware to link them to the ps3 ie. smartglass for MS and the Wii U.
well just how microsoft owns skype and rents it to other i see sony doing the same with this cloud gaming company.
I know I will get disagrees but I hope they don't drop pc support. They could possibly make more cash on pc.
http://www.bgr.com/2012/06/... + vista & xp users. just saying it would be smart since xbl is sitting right on my windows 8 screen.
100's of millions will be exposed to xbox live as soon as they boot up.
720 will definitely be cross platfrom day 1 & I think playstation should do the same.
Straight from MS.
