Default Prime Gets Down And Dirty With ZombiU

Default Prime writer Chris Stewart got some hands-on time with Ubisoft's upcoming ZombiU for the Wii U this week. Find out what he thought of the game and whether he's still excited about it after trying it out.

"I was lucky enough this week to get some time hands-on with ZombiU, the game that I was most excited about after the E3 dust settled. There was no messing about, I just got straight into the game. Having watched the person in front of me maim zombies with a cricket bat until he was mobbed and eaten, I opted for a less visceral approach. After stopping to revel in a videogame first (I had never beaten a member of the Queen’s Guard to death with a cricket bat before), I set off."

It's a damn shame that people don't seem to read these previews. They're actually pretty interesting.

Well they're missing out if you ask me; there's some great stuff to be had in articles like this! I just think it's a shame I didn't get my hands on the game til so long after E3.

Having said that, I get the impression that the build I played was a lot more stable than the ones people who played at E3 wrote about. So maybe I got a better idea of what the finished product will be like.

(IMO) this game looks better then what RE6 will be, A TRUE SURVIVOR GAME

PopRocks3594312d ago

I think that's what they're trying to market it as; a zombie survival horror game that actually involves survival horror. Resident Evil certainly does not fit that description anymore and even Dead Space is now sacrificing those elements in favor of more coop/action elements.

*Facepalm*

I don't know if you missed the memo but Capcom has already said that it ISN'T suppose to be a survivor horror. not to mention Resident Evil has NEVER been a survival horror game, but I suppose people with thick heads will never learn and we will have to hear this annoying complaining forever.

Good read and not your run of the mill Preview. Thanks for the expression and detail.
(there was only one other ZombiU preview as well written as this one and nobody read it but me).

But almost all have been positive preview. I will buy this game.

Ubisoft's Recent Antics Have Me Fearful For The Sands of Time Remake

Hanzala from eXputer: "With Ubisoft's practices becoming increasingly anti-consumer lately, the destruction of The Sands of Time Remake looks almost inevitable."

Hey Ubi, here's a gun, don't shoot yourself in the foot.

At this point, only dummies have any hope left for Ubi-junk games.

Every industry has these issues

Some companies I’ve worked for were great and some were toxic as hell (UPS when I was a teenager was extremely toxic and I have heard it still is) It all starts at the top. They either hold people accountable , set standards and treat people with respect or the crap rolls downhill.
