Gamespy:
Despite all the bullet-time diving, dual wielding, and Mickey Spillane dialogue, Max Payne 3 just didn't feel like Max Payne to me. I blame Quentin Tarantino. He certainly wasn't the first to spin a fantastic yarn through a disjointed, non-linear narrative, but he made it a trend-setting signature with Pulp Fiction. Since then, we've seen it in everything from Lost to Tribes: Vengeance, and even the original Max Paynes -- with mixed results. It doesn't work for me this time around, and if I could change one thing about Max Payne 3, it would be to put the story in chronological order.
***Note: Spoilers galore***
Modder ‘alexsavvy’ has released a must-have mod for Max Payne 3 that is a love letter to all fans of the original game.
GF365: "These are our picks for the ten best games to complete 100%. This list includes good games that don't feel like chores to complete."
I got 80% trophy completion on Ragnarok but left a few of the battles. Will come back to it one day.
Where is Horizon Zero Dawn?? where is Ghost of Tsushima?? I just got my Platinum on HZD and is now trying to finish the Frozen Wild expansion. so much care and love went into that game and it really shows. I especially adore the lore and have sunk many hours listening to the logs and reading journals. the back story is great and the gameplay is awesome. can't wait to replay on the hardest difficulty on NG+. next in my list would be to finish GoTsushima
Okay the title of article should be top 10 , 3rd person games to complete 100 percent. Nine 3rd person games and 1 racing game on this list .
If you've been waiting for Max Payne vibes to hit your turntable, you're in luck. Noise rock band HEALTH have a Max Payne 3 vinyl soundtrack update.
One of the best soundtracks in gaming. This band is incredible and I’ve seen them live twice now. Absolutely fantastic band
Agreed it feels like a MGS 4 too many cut scenes (can't be skipped) On a game like MGS its ok but not Max payne , also it threw away the Noire theme which is what max payne is
Seemed like the same Max Payne to me. Only looking and playing sweeter.
To me max payne was Neo noir more than traditional film noir.
The crazy cardboard cutout sequence, the dream scene, his wife sequence in the house with dramatic lighting, etc.
Max Payne to me was a dose of alcohol when soda was popular.
Totally intoxicating.
This one is a modern cocktail of the two. Enjoyable in a confused time in a confusing gaming year of the decade.
Well it's certainly a big departure, presentation/style wise, from the past games. But, I for one really enjoyed the ride from beginning to end.
its the best one
