what a bunch of crap, there are like 5 current gen games, more mario, mini game, casual crap, nothing original, the only decent game i see on that list is Zombie U and its not even developed by Nintendo, where are the new IPs nintendo? where are the mature games? bah i sense wii casual crap all over again. from what i have seen so far im extremely disappointed in Nintendo's Wii U.

PopRocks3594312d ago

Why do you want Nintendo to make a mature game? It's like asking Pixar to make an R-rated film. It doesn't work that way.

Nintendo's bringing us Game & Wario. Besides, P-100 is also a new IP and technically so is Lego City Stories. And they're both exclusive to Wii U.

You're entitled to your opinion, but as far as I can see, the Wii U does have good games coming for its launch window. Also it's getting the "definitive versions" of Ninja Gaiden III, Assassin's Creed III and the upcoming Aliens video game.

remanutd554312d ago

because i want them to reach out to the long time fans like me who grew up playing mario/zelda games but are not 6,7 years old anymore, thats why, i was a nintendo fan long before i started to play on sony's consoles but i got tired of playing the same games from them generation after generation after generation, i just want to see at least 2 mature new IPs from them and i will buy the system.

hardandsloppy4312d ago

Never did they say Lego City Stories is exclusive. Considering who is developing it, I think it'll be multiplatform.

Hisiru4312d ago (Edited 4312d ago )

@remanutd55
Last time I checked Sony only had Resistance at launch, so stop trash talking.

Also, fuc* this "M-rated" thing. I want fun games and if WiiU is bringing fun games then I will buy it.

Biggest4312d ago

"Last time I checked Sony only had Resistance at launch, so stop trash talking."

That's because you never actually checked. So stop trash talking?

Hisiru4312d ago (Edited 4312d ago )

@Biggest
Your link just confirmed what I said, don't try to be smart. Resistance was the only exclusive game in NA and Ridge Racer in Japan.

Also, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Tony Hawk 8, Call of Duty 3 and Madden NFL 07 are just ports from PS2 games. And you guys are complaining about x360/PS3 ports on WiiU LOL!

Good link man! thanks! Now I don't even need to give you a source to show you guys are full of shi* with your trolling.

So stop trash talking?

chanmasta4312d ago (Edited 4312d ago )

"because i want them to reach out to the long time fans like me who grew up playing mario/zelda games but are not 6,7 years old anymore"

So because you're older, all the Mario/Zelda games are too childish and aren't "mature" enough for you now? That shows a lot of immaturity in you as an individual.
I grew up on Nintendo games and still get tons of fun out of them as an adult. You say you want Nintendo to make "mature" games for older people, what's that? Blood and guts? They make plenty of hardcore titles that can be enjoyed by children and adults without including common "hardcore" or "mature" stereotypes.
Now that you're.. OLDER and "MORE MATURE", do you want Nintendo to make games like this now?
http://www.youtube.com/watc...

I suggest stop living with such a closed mind.

ChickeyCantor4311d ago

"because i want them to reach out to the long time fans like me who grew up "

Get over yourself.
I grew up with Nintendo as well. And even I understand what they do best.
I'm not expecting an M-rated game from Miyamoto. And why should I? There are other gamdevelopers who do that and it's perfectly fine that way.

You got that game already. It's called Twilight Princess. Which is nothing like Wind Waker or Skyward Sword.

As for a mature IP, they're publishing NGIII: Razor's Edge and giving it everything that was missing from the original version (dismemberment and weapon customization to name two). There's also ZombiU.

Why ask Nintendo to do something they're just not known for when they can have other developers do it for them?

AO1JMM4312d ago (Edited 4312d ago )

"nothing original"

yet you list ZombiU which is a new IP. Is it "original? maybe not but what game these days truly are?

Asking Nintendo to do a M rated game is like asking Disney to do porn.

Fail on your part.

Sorry but if you want something socalled "mature" then you need to move on to something else. YOu obviously need to look up the definition as ZombiU, AC III and Aliens: Colonial Marines are all "mature" games.

If you are going to bash the console you can at least think before you spit out nonsense.

remanutd554312d ago

read my first comment, comprehend it and then comment on it, i said where are the new IPs nintendo? mature games from them not third party games, not games i can play on current consoles and a bunch of casual crap in true nintendo style but hey to each their own , they fooled me this gen with Twilight Princess , fool me once shame on you, fool me twice... , that ain't happening this time, i need to see more appealing games before i buy the console, all i see is wii all over again.

at Hisiru yes thats very true but i still bought it because i knew Metal Gear Solid 4, God of War 3, Gran Turismo 5 and probably a new Team Ico game would have come to the system sooner or later and along the way i've played some really good experiences like motorstorm, journey, flower, little big planet, fat princess, uncharted, infamous, heavenly sword, folklore, valkyria chronicles, ratchet and clank and more so yea i dont have any regrets buying a ps3 at launch date and now sony won me over they just need to release a new Motorstorm game and im there next gen because i know i will most likely play new great experiences , its just in sony's nature.

AO1JMM4312d ago (Edited 4312d ago )

@ remanutd55,

Face it Nintendo does what they do and what they have always done. It is too bad for you that you couldn't figure that out until the Wii U was announced after numerous generations of Mario and Zelda.

ZombiU is new yes but not nintendo but like you asked and answered it is "Mature". I also stated that Nintendo doesn't do many mature games (I believe they own the Fatal Frame IP).

Like I already said, asking Nintendo to do a M rated game is like asking Disney to do porn. Not going to happen. They will continue to do "kiddy" style games. There is no reason for nintendo to branch out to far when it comes to new IPs because all of their main franchises are guaranteed multi million dollar sellers.

I smell the stench of a Sony Fanboy! and its coming from your comments and your YouTube channel.

remanutd554312d ago

at AOLJMM no i thought the Wii was gonna be the change i wanted to see and if im not mistaken Nintendo NA CEO said they were going to cater to the hardcore gamer this time with the Wii U thats why im commenting on Wii U post, i rarely comment on non sony posts but i was really looking forward to buy the wii U that i just have to say it, im totally disappointed in what nintendo has shown on the wii u so far more of the same kiddy casual crap but i still have faith in reggie, perhaps he said it because they are planning to release those games down the road, hopefully thats the case so i can get the system and enjoy it not like the wii ( which i bought at launch date with Twilight Princess) to never used it after i beat the game. bah total let down but it was my mistake as customer i should've known better, this time they are not fooling me and as i said countless of times before i was a sony fan i was Nintendo's, i grew up playing Nintendo games lol

GUYwhoPLAYSvideoGAME4312d ago (Edited 4312d ago )

okay, we have more than enough m-rated titles to go around, and in no way does nintendo need to do one, but i do agree with you on some things

MY BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH THE WII U IS that it's trying to say, hay, we're hardcore now when it's showing anything but, no another super mario bros. is NOT hardcore, BUT ALSO, JUST BECAUSE A GAME IS M-RATED DOESN'T MEAN IT'S HARDCORE.

Wii's biggest problem was that it was too casual, it occasionaly put out hardcore game, but they were existing franchises

and wii u is looking to do the same thing, but this time have more m-rated titles that most of us have already played unless the only console we owned was a wii, and it's priding itself on 3rd party support when all it is, is ports of current gen games, but wii u is supposed to be a next-gen system, so we have no clue how good the 3rd party support will be by the time the new xbox and playstation come out

TBM4312d ago

i believe its possible to create mature games without extreme violence, and blood. look at Journey this is a mature game and doesnt have what most mature games have, but its theme was adult.

GUYwhoPLAYSvideoGAME4312d ago (Edited 4312d ago )

@TBM YESYESYESYESYES exactly

and alot more of the younger kids are interested in cod more than journey

dark-hollow4312d ago

Asking Nintendo to make a bloody mature game is like asking Sony to make something original.

its never going to happen.

PopRocks3594312d ago

Bubble up for making me lol.

GUYwhoPLAYSvideoGAME4312d ago (Edited 4312d ago )

what the heck about lbp, uncharted, infamous, sotc, ico, god of war, ratchet and clank, jak and daxter, and journey wasn't original and that's some.

there was a time when nintendo was making as original games as sony is now, but now they're just continuing their once original franchises

they honestly both make original stuff, i think sony does it more right now, but that was a fanboy comment you just made, you singled out everything sony, how couldn't it be with all those games listed above

omarzy4312d ago (Edited 4312d ago )

lol so true. But "mature" games are the same as curse words. They actually become immature as you get older.

Rockoman164312d ago

Wonderbook and kinectanimals for the freaking win!!

MEsoJD4312d ago

Sadly non of the exclusives seem interesting for Wii-U at the moment. I don't really care about the rating, but I do wish for nintendo to come out some original ips.

tehpees34312d ago

Are you serious? I would so take Mass Effect 3, Tekken, Darksiders 2 or even Ninja Gaiden 3 over the shovelware wii got. Actually this could be NG3's chance to redeem itself.

At least Nintendo is trying now. Honestly wii u gets nothing but trolls in just about every positive news. People wanted third party support and Nintendo is offering you that. Give them chance to make more announcements and take whats good that they've shown.

PopRocks3594312d ago

Read some of the previews and watch some gameplay videos for Razor's Edge. It actually looks a lot better than the original version of NGIII. Fans keep telling me it's because Nintendo is publishing it and they're influencing Team Ninja to improve upon the game.

TBM4312d ago

personally for me the only games on this list that im interesting in were NSMBU, ZombiU, and Rayman Legends. I'm not buying the system on launch day, imma wait a few months to a year before purchasing it

i'm waiting for at least 10 games that interest me before spending hard money on it, and enchanced ports of games i already beat will not do. also games like AC3 that i started on other systems i will finish on those respective systems.

HalfNerdHalfAmazing4312d ago

#1 for my list is whatever studio is working on

NobodyImportant4312d ago

At this moment in time the only way I'd buy a Wii U at launch is if Colonial Marines gets fantastic ratings and looks SIGNIFICANTLY better than current gen.

Maybe Assassin's Creed.
And maybe ZombiU - although it looks awful in it's current state. Hopefully they demoed a really really really old build at E3.

Or if Wii U launched with Zelda, Mario Galaxy 3 or Metroid (that they've been developing in secret)

neutralgamer194312d ago

If i ever did get a Wii u it would be a new Zelda game. Also if they made a new Mario 64 or a remake for wii that would be awesome.

Will There Ever Be A New Rayman Game?

Ubisoft barely have a leg to stand on lately, so do they need to crack open the vaults and return platforming royalty to glory for some goodwill?

-Foxtrot50d ago

We need Rayman 4, they could make a great platformer game if they wanted. With the open hub levels and the like.

Better than relying on Rabbids and Assassins Creed all the time

Profchaos50d ago

Yeah agree id love a Rayman 2 style 3d platform game over another 2d platformer I know people loved legends but it never gelled with me same as Rayman 1 back in the day on PS it just felt like a average platformer with sonic and Mario offering something better on what was then last gen hardware

Terry_B50d ago

Yes..but I am sure it won't be the Rayman game fans want. Not from the company that is Ubisoft today.

mastershredder50d ago (Edited 50d ago )

Ancel is retired from games. His hoodlum/rabbid team are doing their own thing. It would not be the same if Ubisoft did.

Profchaos50d ago

Probably far more profitable to make low effort Rabbids games aimed at kids over a next Rayman

Chocoburger50d ago

Experience points, skill trees to fill up, level gating, endless menial tasks and side quests, constantly scrounging for resources. Always having to upgrade your gear. A.KA. "The Ubisoft effect".

No thanks, don't ruin Rayman's legacy.

Profchaos50d ago

Sure there will be it'll launch right alongside the next splinter cell

Rayman Legends - 10 Years of Legendary Platforming

Rayman Legends made its debut 10 years ago today, and has been launched on nearly every gaming platform since.

Too bad Ubisoft only cares about live service games now. Maybe one day they'll make a new Rayman game.

Venoxn4g232d ago

Great games.. would be cool to get qn Origins remaster at least..I know that many of the levels are in Legends, but still

Outlawzz232d ago

Loved this game but wish they would create a new Rayman 3d game.
