Capcom has announced two european artists who have contributed original tracks to the soundtrack of the rebooted Devil May Cry.
VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

Dmc.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
Huzaifah from eXputer: "Devil May Cry 5, the latest iteration in the iconic DMC franchise by Capcom, still holds its own as a fantastic hack-and-slash in 2024."
NVIDIA continues to add games to GeForce NOW. This week, Devil May Cry 5, Gears Tactics, and The Crew Motorfest lead the charge.
Why is it in DMC, a game that was known for (in 3 and 4) to have a metal based soundtrack now getting Techno and Dubstep (lol)?
It makes NO sense at all. Even in music this game is not DMC! Art, gameplay, story, and even the MUSIC is wrong...
May not look like the old Devil May Cry, but it is definitely shaping up to be a good game. I think the music fits their new direction.
Uggh. I imagine the conversation went like this:
Ninja Theory Boss: "Gentlemen! It's not looking good. The fans hate our new Dante, the boys in development are saying we can't replicate the 60FPS DMC is known for, and we're coming off of the flop known as Enslaved. What can we do to distract the kids long enough for a sale?"
Random Ninja Theory PR Guy: "Give em' the WUB WUB!"
Ninja Theory Boss: "GENIUS! Get Noisia and Combichist on the phone ASAP!"
People actually enjoyed the music from DMC1-3? At least now the music is sensible to the world it's in. I tried listening to the battle music from DMC3 recently, and it made me laugh fairly hard. It's one reason why I never gave the DMC collection a single thought. Those games were amazing how I remember them. Any time I try to watch what I thought was amazing (the bar fight scene in DMC3, for example) when I was younger, it just makes me cringe now. It's awkward and incredibly cheesy.
If all these things people complain about is what makes DMC, then DMC was a complete cheese-fest. And I thank Ninja Theory for finally making it more than just a joke.
Works for me. I don't have a problem with dubstep...if it's placed correctly.
