Is it worth getting a Nintendo 3DS XL?

What's not to love about it. Just the thought of playing the new Kingdom Hearts on this which is out the same day as as the xl here in Europe.

I like everything about the new 3DS except that they didn't add a second thumb stick. Kind of seemed like they passed on a great opportunity that the community wanted.

another thumb stick wouldn't be fair for original 3DS owners. You think they didn't think about it? They did, but doing it would backstab everyone who got the 3DS in the first place and that's something Nintendo won't do and I understand that as much as I wanted a second thumb stick as well. So please, get over the idea of a second thumb stick. Maybe next-gen?

I was holding back on buying a 3DS until Kingdom Hearts was released or there was a re-design. Both releasing on the same day is perfect for me and i will be getting one with Kingdom Hearts :D

My original 3DS got stolen, I already have a Vita, so getting the 3DS XL is a no brainer for me. For those who already have a 3DS and are upgrading, why?

I would like one too, but I want this way: buy 3ds this one and trade old one and transfer all the content to new one at the shop, so I wouldn't lose my data, I hope that I can do like this, can't I? :)

other thing: will on new 3ds LL graphics will be decreased I mean more pixelly? If not, I'm in! :)

Day one buy for me..I can't wait to see most of my current games on the "big screen"..also no more eye strain or handcramps! I imagine the viewing angle for 3D will be far superior too!

exactly what nintendo wants you to do, pay the 250 at launch, then trade in ur old one for the version they should have been released day 1.

Nope, got my ambassador 3DS chillin' right here. Not going anywhere until I see a 2nd analog. And I'm not really feelin' the new design. The original looks much slicker and less like a toy. Even though, admittedly, it is a toy.

Biggest thing for me is... for only 50 more bucks (heck your already this deep on), you could just get a Vita. I know that they're truly marketed for different kinds of gamers, but heck it does so much more.

Although I'd buy a 3DS over a Vita hands down if they had remakes of more of my old favourites (Majoras Mask, Wind Waker, Pikmin, etc.).

I really want one for the large screen size, but wouldn't the games appear muddy or blurry if they're keeping the resolution the same while increasing the screens by 90%?

not worth it. the Dual analog version of the normal 3ds will come out, then a year later the dual analog version of the 3ds xl.

You do know that Sony released more versions of the PSP than Nintendo did with the DS, right? So I guess Sony is guilty of milking their stuff, too.

I'd say if you didn't get one yet, I say go for it. The extra hour of battery and bigger screens are worth the extra $30 over the original 3DS.

I personally don't think it's worth it, cause I already invested in a Nerf protective case, Screen protecter, and a circle pad pro. It's more portable to my liking and let's face it, I'm probably not going to get much for selling or a trade in.

Edit: Someone metioned for $50 more, you can just get the Vita. True, but then you'll be commited to buying a memory card and a new library of games. The Vita or it's games are not good enough to warrant that kind of purchase. Whereas I already have the games for 3DS, I would just need to upgrade to the XL.

Is it worth it?? Not if you already have one or plan to play games that use 2 circle pads.. I just love how people pay for the same thing twice.. a bigger screen is good & bad @ the same time.. OH & them putting in another circle pad would make many more people buy it which is why they didnt add it in now.. They will bank off the fools who trade up n get one & bank off them again when they finally release the one everyone wants
