Top 5 Playstation 3 Games Missing from E3 2012

From the PlanetPlaystation feature list:

"Sony had an above-average showing at E3 2012 with The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls stealing a lot of the limelight. Both games should be solid exclusive additions to the growing PlayStation 3 library. Even with these two being the prime focus for Sony, there were a few games that were grossly missed from their lineup, along with a handful of third-party support that was oddly out of the picture."

I would have loved to see Overstrike =(

Ditto. If half of these games showed up at E3 this year, it woulda been an awesome E3.

But for some reason, Sony avoided bringing anything big. It was kinda disappointing. I think they could have taken some time off all the already announced games or that ridiculous Far Cry 3 co-op session and give us updates on these.

Oh well..
at this point, pretty sure Agent is dead.

Sony has become pretty notorious this gen with game announcement and releases. Like The Agency, it was shown then canned... not to be heard of until much later.

Or Assassin Creed n DMC4 exclusive announcement (not that I mind them going multi-platform) and then it went otherwise.
It's becoming hard to keep anything down with a track record like that this gen.

about a year ago rockstar said agent was still in development. then at e3 2011 someone asked jack tretton if it was still a ps3 exclusive and he said something along the lines of "im not sure". a similar question was asked at this years e3 and tretton responded "like you said, its agent from rackstar games. youll have to ask rockstar games the questions". if it was canned he would have said so. i think jack avoided answering if it was a ps3 exclusive because its now a ps4 game. it all makes sense. if it was multiplat, we would have heard it by now, same as if it was canned. i think its a ps4 game now that its this late in this gen of games

The Last of Us made up for all 5...

It's usually how Sony works. All about the hype train.

Distract fans with Agent (since 2007), Last Guardian (since 2008) and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Gets fanboy's to put it on their list of exclusive every year since, and then introduce a new IP and keep silent on the other supposed games!

That is how they beat the Dreamcast with the PS2. Dreamcast was practically dead before PS2's release due to the hype Sony generated.

That said, Last of Us did look damn good!!! Naughty Dog has a good track record of releasing games so far so I can't wait myself.

I do agree, one good game THAT IS RELEASED makes up for five awesomely non-existant ones. XD

edit: @LarVanian
Sony announced it way too early to play their hype game again. It's definitely deliberate. MS learned their lesson with Alan Wake, and *almost* all games they announced since then have been released within a 18-month window.

Agent and Last Guardian were both announced in 2009. And it isn't really Sony's fault that games such as Versus XIII and Agent are taking so long. Those are matters concerning Rockstar and Square-enix.

The Last Guardian is the game I want most on ps3. I really was hoping for something to be shown, anything really, at E3. Maybe at TGS. Maybe.

Glad that I absolutely can't stand subscription services.

Petebloodyonion2d ago (Edited 2d ago )

I don't recall Sony forcing you to subscribe like nobody forced you to go to Blockbuster to rent games instead of buying them.

SonyStyled2d ago

Pay-per-view was almost cheaper than the cost of gas and rental fee from Blockbuster. Blockbuster doesn’t exist today. Are you being sarcastic?

I wished agent was revived so badly

Rockstar's game outpost has steadily declined since HD console gaming started . Hell, they were releasing new games every year since the PS2 launched, up to the start of the 7th gen.

Final Fantasy XV Review – A Royal Road Trip

Gary Green said: With my fondness for (most) Final Fantasy games and my side goal of finishing off games in my collection with loose ends, a return to Final Fantasy XV seemed inevitable. It also serves as my third Final Fantasy platinum trophy after VII and VIII, a reasonable substitute since Final Fantasy IX is nigh on impossible to master.
