It was rubbish tbh. Best thing about it was Pikmin 3, that game looked great. Too much ranting from Reggie, too much time spent on fitness & dance games and no Zelda, Metroid or Animal crossing stuff. Sony took it this year, even with the harry potter move game fail.

Pikmin was great, but then on everything went downhill. How did they think that the hardcore would jump right on the Nintendoland stuff??

I kept wishing that Nintendo announce something near the end of the show, A new Metroid for example, to blow everyone away, but it looks like my expectations were too high.

If Nintendo's focus this time is getting back the hardcore, how will they win them back with stuff like Dance Central 4 and Wii Fit U? Do they expect us to buy this stuff at launch?

To their credit I like their presentation but I was really hoping for something that would blow me away and be like "Yes, I wantt to go get a Wii-U". But thats not what I'm seeing. A nice presentation, but nothing unexpected or awesome in a year where Sony and MS pretty much kept the status quo and Nintendo could have amazed.

Even if the content didn't fit your liking...I found it more interesting overall then MS and Sony's borefests.

It showed off the quirkiness of the WiiU and showed that nintendo will be hanging with the big dogs come next generation.

It was primarily built on gaming and thats why I respect this conference more so over Microsofts and Sonys so please...get off my dick.

You sure about that? I mean Nintendo is barely bringing out a system that is barely on par with current gen consoles. Once Wii U is out, Sony and Microsoft will probably unveil newer hardware that will more than likely surpass Wii U in a lot of technical aspects, thus leaving Nintendo in the dust once again and probably getting less 3rd party ports like the Wii does now due to the huge graphical gap between the consoles. Or who knows, that's up to the developers but that's just my assumption based on how things are now. It's like Nintendo is barely jumping into the Gen that Sony and Microsoft will be leaving in the near feature. So I don't really know if they will "hang with the big dogs" in terms of hardware come next gen.

Eth...in my view, this was a weak presentation. With regards to the hardware, it looks good but looks like the current generation hardware with a nice controller. Then again, wii was like the original xbox/ps2 graphics and they sold a lot of units. So i guess they're trying to repeat history here.

I was expecting a true next gen console but sadly in terms of the graphics department the Wii U so far is extremely disappointing. Also i thought that Nintendo would focus on the core instead they are going after the same market as the Wii U which is the casuals.

Oh well at least their 3DS conference has to be good at least since they will dedicate 1 whole hour to 3DS games and maybe they will announce a 3DS XL with dual circle pads if they did that i would buy one in a heart beat (although not for 3D because i hate it).

I'm really liking the idea and use of the tablet controller. Hopefully they pull all this off.

WiiU does seem to be a current gen console with next gen controls and I'm sure that'll make it a hard pill for people to swallow. But I liked what I saw. Doubt I'll like the price for sequels I can already play on my other consoles.

My goodness, almost nothing we hadn't already heard about and too many in game "scanners". Even Pikmin and New Mario Bros were soured by all the nonsense- we didn't need a Just Dance demonstration! We know what it is and chances are, we don't like it!. Where's the meat? Metroid, Zelda, Smash Bros, Donkey Kong, Pokemon, Kirby, Animal Crossing, Star Fox, F Zero?

If they weren't planning on showing many games, they should have brought some launch details. At least a Wii price cut.

Why hold a separate 3DS event only to show the biggest hitters in this conference? Particularly when those 3DS games overshadow the rest of the conference...

The past few months I have been craving the experiences I had playing my SNES and N64 and have been eagerly awaiting this conference hoping for that pure Nintendo fun. Not to mention all the exciting predictions and the ensuing hype- GTA 5 on stage, Black Ops 2 confirmed, Retro's awesome new game? I am oh so disappointed.

even then, i agree somewhat that finishing the show with nintendo land was absurd, and was on the same level as the horrible book of spells, they should have made a CG of the next smash, showing maybe one new char or something, it would be WAY better way to end the show...

Wow - what a disappointing E3 in general for GAMES

MS - showed the same old stuff (Halo, Gears, Forza, Fable, COD) - overall C (and that is only thanks to Halo which does look pretty good)

Sony - where were the games - they showed a total number of games that was less than MS - overall B- (yes they only showed 7 or so games, but Last of Us looked incredible and they did show a few new IPs

Nintendo - had the chance to steal the show - did not - overall C (majority 3rd party games we already played) why show Mario Wii U and then show a 3DS Mario game that looked so similar? System power looks underwhelming and looks like what we already have with 360/PS3 {maybe that is why specs were not given)

Winner - (If you can say that) - Sony at least they showed new IP's (Last of Us, Beyond)

While I am sure great games will follow, I am not certain that they focused on the correct things.

If they wanted the "Core" ... this was not the way. And after this presentation it is going to be that much harder to prove to them that the WiiU is for them.

But as far as connectivity goes and the MMO functions that are built into the WiiU itself... I am very excited.

As far as Press Conferences go I think Sony won hands down- Nintendo was No. 2 and Microsoft last (even though they had some interesting thing inside).

I feel like e3 as a whole has just become irrelevant, nothing shocking was shown here at mS or at sony nothing worthy of jumping up and down in amazement and its pretty much been that way the last few years... It's disappointing that the conferences turned out the way they did but I don't fee its the gaming industry dying just e3. plus a lot of the hype we used to get has gotten killed by the internet we see a lot or at least hear a lot before e3 even happens, so the shock value has been greatly minimized compared to years passed. I do feel however we could have gotten more and should have gotten more from nintendo but only time will tell what they really have in store for the wii u. The nintendo direct conference showed glimpses of brilliance so we're just gonna have to wait and see.

Wow all that talk everyone was doing about Microsoft, now I see Nintendo is catering girls and kids. Nothing at all making me change my decision not to buy a Wii u. They really believe most of us get that many friends in a room much less to play games together all the time. It's as I said just gimmick, face it.

Was Nintendo that bad? i was working didn't get to watch anything of it. Judging from the comments it wasn't that impressive at all. I guess this year will go to developer company for best show that's Ubisoft.

Not impressed at all. I can't see Wii U doing the same numbers as the Wii next gen. All the games look similar to what the Wii games look like now. The better looking games look just about on the same level as the PS3 and 360.

I might get one when the new Zelda comes out.

SONY 8/10 B- (The Last of Us, GoW:A, & Beyond were the best games from the big 3. They did hold back though, Guerrilla, Media Molecule, Ready At Dawn, Sucker Punch etc. Must be for PS4 which is good I guess.)
MS 4/10 F (No games, it is a 7 year old console though.)
NIN 2/10 F- (For doing everything possible to convince people to not buy a Wii U & show it isn't next gen.)

Really disappointing!!! And they never show the Wii U specs!!! I knew sources from Gametrailers that Nintendo was not going to release details on price and release date, so no surprise there. Batman Arkham City Armored Edition does not even look any better than PC, 360 or the PS3 version, which aint saying much. Bu bu but wait!!! What happen to Star Fox, Metroid, F-Zero and Super Smash Bros. 4(face off against All Star Royale)? Come on Nintendo!!! your as disappointing as Microsoft extreme focus on entertainment more than games. What a subpar E3 so far, and we might not see E32013, if the World ends at the end of December LOL!!!

Nintendo should just stick with handhelds thats their bread and butter now,(and really always has been.) make some original zelda, metroid, and maybe even a smash game on the 3DS system. cause as far as console goes yall seem done.

If they put all their sources into handhelds imagine playing something like mario galaxy 3 on the 3ds. that be win for me and at a price point cheaper then consoles and the games also cheaper then 360 or ps3 games the 3ds would not only outsell the consoles but the vita as well. Not flaming as a fanboy just saying that could be a actualy reality if they pursued it.
