OXCGN's E3 2012: Top 15 Hottest Game Rumours

OXCGN:

"I love rumours.

I love hearing that a player might be coming to the team I support. Or rumours that the interest rates might be dropping.

Most of all I like rumours that a favourite franchise’s next iteration will be announced at E3, like Thief 4 was awhile ago (where are you Thief 4???)

Here are 10 Games that are rumoured to be announced at E3 2012 and my feelings associated with them."

I'm actually hoping Dead Space 3 gets announced.

"Infamous 2 struggled with initial sales, probably mostly due to the fact it isn’t a multiplatform title and it didn’t really realise the potential everyone saw in it.

I certainly won’t be interested if the playground is another U.S. city. Time to play somewhere else."

It didn't struggle that much, it obviously sold well enough to get a sequel

Besides the jump from a City like Empire City to New Marais was a massive breath of fresh air

As for Half life 3...well after the Portal 2 announcement at Sonys E3 show, anything is possible.

I'm not saying it WILL be there but just because Gabe says they aren't going to announce it or show off a new game dosen't mean it's true

Why would Valve travel all away to E3 and set up a booth just for DoTA2 and Counter Strike GO....two games which were shown off last year behind closed doors and are now in their betas. Not many people care now

They have to announce it this year, I can't see it coming out in 2014 if they announce it next E3

gaminoz4340d ago

I agree...going to New Marais was a good move. They have to keep moving to new playgrounds though as doing the same over and over would get boring quick.

Prototype should have moved for example.

I sooo want Star Wars Battlefront 3, Half Life 3, and Eternal Darkness 2.

That EA Sports gladiator game seems odd...

BadCircuit4340d ago

If Silicon Knights announce Too Human 2 I'm going to scream! And they will go out of business within a year.

Some good games on the list, but nothing startling, except the Quantic Dream one.

I hope there are a few great surprises besides all the sequels.

BadCircuit4340d ago

I hope the "for sure" Star Wars title is Battlefront. I really really do.

Lol: Killzone 4: "Am I excited: zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

Silent Hills cancellation was a travesty.

mrbearbear271d ago

I still wonder to this day if it was a reboot, or sequel.

cammers1995271d ago

Lol. The tags made it so I didn't have to visit your website.

goldwyncq271d ago

Kojima wouldn't have started his own studio if Silent Hills didn't get cancelled so even if it stung at first, I'm fine with it.

i remember being so excited for patriots for years, only to have them release that siege trash. i hate how multiplayer games, pvp in particular, have ruined so many potentially good games.

Why Dead Space 3 Will Be the Hardest to Remake

If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.

Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.

myfathersbastard407d ago

Yeah I agree. Make a dead space 3, but have an original story/setting. They’ve proven they can do the game justice, and I think they could evolve 2 in a good direction, keeping a similar tone. I’d love s Dead Space 2 and 3 though. The remake was fantastic. Top tier remake, up there with RE2.

jznrpg407d ago

Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.

Ninver407d ago

It's the worst in the series.

Dead Space 3, A Ten Year Reunion

WTMG's Kyle Nicol:

"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?

Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."
