The Jimquisition takes a break from discussing consumer shenanigans to focus a little on the games themselves.
What exactly is the best looking game this generation, and why does it look better than the games you're all thinking of whenever such a discussion usually comes up? As always, the best looking man of this generation has the answer (Jim is the best looking man because of his muscles).
Viva Piñata could well make a come back after Microsoft moved to renew the trademark, along with Blast Corps.
Rather see Banjo-Threeie
Hell a remake-revamp of Grabbed by the Ghoulies, great concepts, not executed the best but having everything around you as a weapon was great, with new tech they could get more creative
This game rocked. It was so relaxing making a little garden and getting pinatas to... Dance with each other.
Jared writes: "With the Battletoads having made a triumphant return, let's look at the rest of Rare's back catalog for which series deserves a return to form next."
Donkey Kong Country is probably my favorite game of all time but I've not connected with much else Rareware has made since other than maybe Killer Instinct. Sea of Thieves has got to be close to my worst $60 purchase I've ever made.
Kaan writes: "Rare is easily the most historic Xbox Game Studio. Founded in 1985, Rare may have begun life churning out middling titles for Nintendo but in the '90s Rare became a juggernaut within the games industry. They released classic after classic in quick succession and the most impressive part was the variety in titles. Beat 'em ups, Kart racers, platformers, first-person shooters, third-person action games; Rare did it all. But they need to bring some of these games back. Now."

jim sterling is actually awesome
he hasnt played much on pc now has he? I think Diablo 3 and wow are the best looking games this gen.
this guy... wow
This video was absolutely pointless. So colors mean it's better? Games like LIMBO are black and white and look fukin dope Journey for example will look awesome in 10 years. And just because a game will not look good in 10 years doesn't mean it has some fukin good graphics. Look at FF7 for example, it looks like a joke nowadays, but that doesn't mean it's not one of the best games ever. The same goes with Deus Ex, Half Life, Shadow of The Colossus and so on.
I understand bland and colorless visuals are less apealing, but war is ugly, it's grey and it's dark. Those are war games, not pinata games or games about flowers and rainbows.
He doesn't have enough strong arguments. All he says it's that colors make graphics look better and cellshade it's timeless. Well, that doesn't make Viva Pinata the best looking game htis generation.
Rayman Origins for example, is absolutely gorgeous. But you can't compare Rayman's art and visuals to Uncharted. Uncharted tries to go to photo realism, Rayman is cartoonish.
