Otaku Gaming writes: "Stepping back and looking at Dragon’s Dogma from a meta-perspective makes you realise it represents everything that is wrong with the games industry. It is an offensively derivative game that makes Gameloft’s knock-offs look creative. Despite the utter cynicism it displays towards consumer buying behaviours, it’s still a moderately entertaining game, but it sits very firmly within the second tier of JRPGs."
Although the sequel is on the near horizon, the original Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen remains a fantastic action RPG, still worth playing.
Daman Shelley from NoobFeed writes - Dragon's Dogma is truly a one-of-a-kind game, and there really is no other game like it, but there are a few that come close. Whether with their fantasy settings, the ability to climb mountains, or just with the overall same charm as Capcom’s iconic RPG. Here's a list of games that will hopefully scratch that Dragon's Dogma itch.
I can still hear the title screen music in my head after nearly 12 years. Loved every minute of it.
I have no issues filling my time til DD2.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will probably me more than enough.
More terrified I won't be done in time.
Try not to burn yourself out before the game releases. This is going to be a long and immersive RPG like the first one.
The games in this article are all great and I believe the people who are excited for Dragons Dogma 2 probably already played most of those games.
For now, I recommend you prepare yourself for long play sessions if you will be picking up Dragons Dogma at launch.
Dragon’s Dogma achieved its highest concurrent player count in over six years over the weekend.
Excellent game spoilt by grindy combat and no fastbtravel the stones travel system was rubbish
I'm doing my part to contribute to this. Found out my pawn had been a busy bee while I was away.
when i found this game i loved it and played the hell out of it, got to the demon in the expansion and after feeling pretty good at the game he wiped the floor with me, fatigue set in, but i need to get back into this i think, looking forward to 2 for sure.
Having played the demo this is a really bad game >.<
The Witcher 2 pulls off a lot of things very well on the Xbox 360.
WOW, This reviewer is so far off the mark in every aspect of his review I found myself both laughing at his statements and gritting my teeth in anger and frustration at the same time. incredible. Did this person even play Dragon's Dogma!!!
I didn't read the review, just saw the score. Despite its flaws, I personally love the game. I can see not everyone liking it and it may not be your cup of tea, but a 40...really? Its all opinions but a 40 pretty much means bottom of the barrel bad...lets reserve that score for games that truly deserve it.
im buying the game friday so im reading the good and the bad reviews. should i wait for a price drop or is it worth the full price? so many mixed opinions, people love it or hate it. can someone just answer this for me? is it a solid game worth admission?
Looking at the site etc. It's run by Nintendo fanboys.
Don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong with being a Nintendo fan however, the sites clearly biased, this game + a review that suggests only the demo has been played or possibly a quick go at a friends of Dragons Dogma receives 2/5 yet 'farm simulator' for the 3ds receives 4?.. along with other ninty games(that aren't any better than this game) receiving good scores.
First rule of good journalism, don't be biased.
