Famitsu Persona Chatter: Persona 4 Has Insects, Persona 5 May Have New Music

Famitsu has an update on Persona 4 The Golden this week, and even a brief mention of Persona 5.

JUST started playing Persona 4, so far so good. Just gt to Inaba. It's funny. I just finished my real life college semester today, and in the morning I'll start my first day of school in P4 :D

Hah, well trust me you'll have a great time with Persona 4! I seriously didn't want the game to end, and I'd be up late into the night playing it for hours and hours. Just one bit of advice, don't forget to train up when you have the chance to battle on days. If you focus only on relations with people and forget to level, you'll be in some serious trouble trying to get further. XD

I love the Persona series, don't get me wrong. But Atlus seriously needs to pick the Shin Megami series back up! Also whatever happened to DDS 1 & 2 coming to the network?!

I'm new to these games so I don't know much about them. What's the difference between the SMT series and Persona?

Settings, typically. While the Persona games can be a little dark and are very mature, most of the SMT games are VERY dark. Persona also stays closer to modern day settings for the most part. Of course, the biggest thing is the Personas, themselves. I'm most familiar with 3 and 4, in which the human characters manifest Personas(the protagonists capable of calling forth multiple ones). SMT has a focus on monsters; they serve a similar role to the Personas, but are not a direct product of the human characters. Interacting with them can cause them to be enemies or allies, depending on how you answer questions or what items you give them.

That's just some of the differences I've noted. I haven't BEATEN any of the SMT titles, though I've played DDS(and own 2), Nocturne, Strange Journey, and one other...?

I hope this new music thing doesn't mean there won't be Shoji Meguro. I love his music, and it really gives the Persona games a lot of identity.
