Final Fantasy VII is one of the biggest selling games in history and rejuvenated the franchise for a new generation of consoles! But are the endings worthy of the game's reputation? 411's Gavin Napier takes a look!
Final Fantasy 7 has come back under the spotlight thanks to the release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is it worth replaying the original?
Very much so. Graphically it's dated but the story and the gameplay haven't aged a day. It's still one of my all time favourite RPGs and for me is better than Remake in some ways.

Rise of the ronin sold twice as much as Dragons Dogma 2 this week...but no articles about that. It's only news if a PS exclusive is being outsold.
It has a great ending.
final fantasy vii is one the first and one of the only japanese made rpgs that had a big impact in north america period. Before hand very few of the japanese rpgs even got translated, but for awhile on the ps1 we got a bunch that mostly sold very little. Final Fantasy vii overcame its genre, as Greg Kasavin said best "Never before have technology, playability, and narrative combined as well as in Final Fantasy VII."
