Several former executives at Nottingham studio Free Radical have accused LucasArts of using "stalling tactics" to avoid paying the studio for its work on Star Wars: Battlefront 3.

From looking at the gameplay, it just looks like Fortnite, this would have been very poorly received by timesplitters fans.

I'm glad this got cancelled, what's with the Fornite knockoff? TimeSplitters was an FPS, not a 3rd person battle royale.

I got into a minor disagreement with their staff shortly after the closure, after i commented about a Timesplitters HD remaster to gauge public reception before such a big project here:

Looking at the gameplay footage, it's clear that the staff (no matter what level) we're out of their depth, putting lots of hours into a game that would of been DOA if Embracer didn't shut it down.

It's basically a Fortnite clone. Seems like a good decision to cancel this game.

eh…Gilbert, Purcell Schaffer were the trail blazers in that crew. David, while he did do some stuff once, like a real long ass time ago is more like b-list personality that specializes in reminiscing and signing ops at a convention.
Is Star Wars Battlefront 3 coming? Well, the correct answer is yes, no and maybe. It’s been six years since the second instalment, and fans are still waiting for confirmation of another sequel.
Game companies are not mature enough to handle this concept without turning it into a casino.
The remakes of battlefront should have been more simular to the originals. CoD/battlefield reskinned as Star Wars was not the anwser.

Thats why i like that kickstarter for Starlight inception, at this point i have more faith in ex employees making a good Star wars esk game than lucasarts themselves. If they make another terrible game i give up on them.
I bet they did the same with BioWare regarding KOTOR series. It could be the reason why KOTOR III never happened and hence BioWare spawned Mass Effect, which was obviously a spiritual successor to KOTOR. Now, after like a decade, Lucas finally gave them KOTOR licenses back when their strategies failed after many management changes in the company.
I hope LucasArts return to their root and give us back the real star wars gaming experience. No more of these lego games and clone wars shit that no one asked for.
