I still regret buying it from before....I buy it for the GF and she plays it twice and hasnt touched it since.

WeskerChildReborned4368d ago

To be honest, i think Angry Birds is just overrated. I play barely 2 levels and i'm already bored.

Soldierone4368d ago

I'm the same way. She saw it though and "I want it!" I forgot she switches games on my phone every 10 minutes lol I could have just distracted her and she wouldn't have noticed.

darthv724368d ago

then rovio released a newer build and i was stuck at having to repurchase if i wanted the newer build. That is...until I read that i need to contact support to have them give me a code for it.

Still waiting to hear back from support on that one. It isnt bad but this isnt a real vita version anyway. Obviously the vita would have touchscreen support like a tablet. I have played it enough times to almost get all the golden eggs.

Havent played it since getting plants vs zombies from dsiware.

GribbleGrunger4368d ago (Edited 4368d ago )

idiotic complaints about playing a PSP Mini on the Vita. and then i go into other threads and see people begging for PS1 games on both the PS3 and the Vita... the worlds gone mad i tell you

Soldierone4368d ago

How is this an idiotic complaint about PSP Minis? I just said I regret buying Angry Birds on the PS3....

GribbleGrunger4368d ago (Edited 4368d ago )

if you had reviewed it as a PSP title then i wouldn't have been so dismissive of it. this is like reviewing a PS1 title for the PS3 and complaining about the overall standard of the games on the PS3. this ISN'T a vita title (and i know you point that out) but you decided to review it on the Vita.

it says: 'PS Vita Angry Birds Review (PS Vita Minis) ' and there is no defence for that as far as i'm concerned. that is incorrect and deliberately so. it immediately looks like the official Vita version and you know damn well that most people will simply read the headline and not the article

Soldierone4367d ago

I have absolutely no affiliation with this website at all. lol

I guess it was just a misunderstanding, you have a solid point but your telling it to the wrong person :P

usedandreviewed4367d ago

I'm not sure what your point is. The game is available as a mini for the PS Vita. I have had requests to review this game to see how it translates. I have clearly pointed out that the game isn't a dedicated Vita game and as such does not have the touch controls or great resolution. Other mini games play well and look good on the Vita. This didn't. If people can't be bothered to read the article (or even the description)then we should all give up now.

darthv724367d ago

The title alone is one of the most important factors in deciding to continue reading. Perhaps you were thinking people wouldnt be inclined to read (or watch) if the title was more like:

PS Mini Angry Birds reviewed on Vita. At least that would be more in line with the context of the actual review. Because it really is the PS mini game that is available to psp and ps3 players only being played and reviewed on a vita.

What you did was no different than if someone was reviewing plants vs zombies from the dsiware on a 3ds. Simply put the game is the same if played on a dsi or a dsixl as it would be the 3ds.

Your review happens to be played on the vita so maybe that is the only ps portable you have played it on but in the end it isnt anything special to the vita. Im sure Rovio would like to make more $$$ off the game and will release a "vita only" version. But that is up to them and Sony.

Sega Nears Deal For ‘Angry Birds’ Mobile Game Maker

The Japan-based entertainment conglomerate is expected to pay about $1 billion for Rovio Entertainment.

sparky77370d ago

If you want to remain relevant you need a mobile powerhouse. MS got Minecraft, maybe King soon, T2 got Zynga, EA got Glu, Tencent got most of the other big ones.

Sony is likely looking for one too or they will be left behind.

Vengeance1138369d ago

Sony already owns the #2 highest grossing mobile game ever in Fate/Grand Order.
That game is close to Genshin Impact levels of monthly revenue.

Lifexline370d ago

Well angry birds still makes money so it’s not a dead horse. They just need another hit.

darthv72370d ago

Angry Sonic, Angry Tails, Angry Amy, Angry Knuckles, Angry Chaos....

Lifexline370d ago

Lol yeah you would be surprised at what could sell. I could see it.

porkChop369d ago

Angry Taxi might actually work.

blackblades369d ago (Edited 369d ago )

Looks like something MS would grab. I wont be surprised some how ms gets Sega with this included magically.

We could fund more games like Sonic Mania

We could buy the music rights back to Sonic 3

We could reboot some old franchises like Ristar, Shinobi, Gunstar Heroes or Golden Axe

...Nah. Angry Birds it is

Snookies12370d ago

Wait, have they even made anything since then? Thought they were a one-hit wonder lol.

darthv72370d ago

I didn't know they did a bunch of stuff prior to Angry Birds:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...

Pretty much everything since has been a spin off. Now maybe Sega will make Angry Chaos or something similar.

FallenAngel1984369d ago

Mojang only made one game and Microsoft still purchased them for $4 billion

Sometimes one property is all you need especially when it’s lucrative

MadLad369d ago

Angry Birds fell out of relevance years ago, but whatever they want to do lol.

Angry Birds Popularity Means its Culling on Android

Rovio has released a statment saying that Angry Birds popularity means its culling on Android after Thursday 23rd Feb 2023.

IanTH420d ago (Edited 420d ago )

Hilarious they see what the market wants, and instead of making more things like that, kills it and is trying to funnel people towards a worse prodcut because GaaS trash makes them more money. Why did they even remake the game and sell it for a buck in the first place then?! The version they're killing hasn't even been out a year.

Also, completely removing from Google Play, but renaming on Apple? Why removing on one and keeping on the other?

Inverno420d ago

People like the simplicity of paying once for a product and never having to give any more, or worry about the intrusion of ads, mtx, subscriptions. Who would've thought? lol.
I imagine that renaming it would make people think it's a knckoff and push them towards their other games. On Android most likely people will just download an APK.

XxINFERNUSxX420d ago

This is why I love Android. You can go to a site like apk mirror and download the apk cracked and install it. Also you can torrent hundreds of Android games so easily. They can pull anything they want off the store I wouldn't care less 🤣

DarkkMinion420d ago

This is why mobile games need to die once and for all. These companies are hilarious. I understand they need to make money but this is just an insult.
