I'd have to say Kinect: Star Wars was the most disappointing game for me this year. The devs really psyched me out with their claims of accuracy and light saber goodness. The game had way too many dance sequences happening in the middle of battles lol.

review scores mean nothing at all, some people like resi: ORC and some didnt. According to reviews perfect dark zero was awesome, but everyone hated it.

i would not put BD on the list but everything else pretty much. And my personal which will make many disagree with me is mass effect 3, and its not because of the ending.

i just had more fun with mass effect 2, but it wasn't a bad game it just did not live up to my personal hype

console gaming has become watered down pc gaming, and it has also hurt the quality of many pc games in the process. I miss when console development was mostly japanese and didnt care if it was too hard...

Considering Binary Domain was never on my radar, and given its received fairly good reviews and word of mouth, I wouldnt call it disappointing. Id say it exceeded expectations.

Kinect Star Wars has to be the biggest disappointment. After years and years of development, AAA budget for the game and the Star Wars license, tons of hype, and promises of accurate controls all we got was a terribly bad game that don't register your moves half of the time, outdated graphics, bad voice acting and dialogue, and watching our childhood memories go up in flames by watching Hans Solo dance. The 55 on Metacritic is too generous.

The thing with star wars is everyone on here knew when they showed footage at e3 a year ago that it would suck for adults. So to say it disspointed me would be wrong as that game had already let me down along time ago and was never on my buying radar this year. I finished Binary Domain the week it came out. It was a little short but a fun game overall. I still can finish orc because it just keeps repeating itself and the formula was not good to start with so it would easily be my most dissapointing game of 2012 not starwars.

The ending isn't enough to make that game go from absolutely amazing to a 'most disappointing' game. The game is still amazing, no matter what happens at the end.

The funnel ending IS enough to be most disappointing. Players put dozens of hours into the trilogy and were *promised varied, meaningful endings in ME3, but got three different colors and an ending geared towards additional DLC and sequels.

Mass Effect 3 was disappointing as soon as I realized the Normandy would remain empty as hell until Bioware decides to sell us more squad mates.

Seriously, 6 F'N people to choose from got old the first 20 hours. Imagine my surprise when everyone from ME2 told me they'd be helping me out, by doing some s*** off screen. Hell, Samara TOLD me she'd meet up with me as soon as she could, which is apparently never...

it was some attempt to make people remember ME1. Remember you only had 6 crew members? Still, yes kind of disappointing because their is a lack of personalities on the Normandy.

Personally I think a game should never be judged on its price. Lets say they release a really good game for $300. does the price tag make it a crap game? of course not. The price tag simply makes it too expensive.

I've been playing Halo hardcore since 2003. Between Halo 2, 3 and Reach I have just shy of 8000 games played, over 107,000 kills, and over a month and a half of in game multiplayer time. That's just the online multiplayer, that doesn't even count matchmaking time, all the LAN parties I've had over the years, or all the time I spent playing the Betas.

I'm pretty sure that after all that, I can make pretty accurate predictions as to how a Halo game will play out. From the very first day that they announced Armor Abilities and Bloom I said that it would ruin Reach. And I was 100% spot on correct. All kinds of people said the exact same thing you just said to me, telling me that I know nothing, but when the beta game out, and the full game came out, everything that I said held true.

Raccoon City and Kinect Star Wars are fun games, I think the only people disappointed in Raccoon City are the ones who thought it was going to be a traditional RE game. Its a solid TPS set in that world. The funny thing is that most people that actually have played the game are enjoying it. Its also selling extremely well.

As for Kinect Star Wars, not sure how that can be a disappointment around here, especially since nobody here had any expectations whatsoever for it. I think its fun, have a good time with it, so I am satisfied with it, obviously most of the people who bought it are having a good time with it as well. Selling extremely well to boot, half a million plus in the first week. Looks to be Kinect's 11th platinum game since its release 16 months ago. Not too shabby.

Well when all is said and done it'll easily surpass a million copies, also all of the consoles its pushed out the door.

Star Wars fans bought the console like crazy, its not like the game was AAA or cost a ton to make, so it definitely made profit.

It doesn't take a hundred million to properly promote a game.

I'm sure Microsoft is more then happy with the results so far.

RE Raccoon City - OMG this is crap for an RE5 game, might have been acceptable as a new IP, but as an established IP this didn't cut it.

Ninja Gaiden 3 - No weapon selection, no purchasing of items, ultra repetitive gameplay, and absolutely no exploration incentives/ability.

Asura's Wrath - Too simple of combat, ultra repetitive, and I hate the number of QTEs.

Street x Tekken - Is it really any that different than SF IV, Super SF IV, and Super SF IV Arcade (other than characters)

Soul Calibur V - I think this was a step back from SC IV...

I don't understand why people are disappointed with Kinect Star Wars... The market was non-core gamers. Same with Silenthill. Silenthill has stunk lately, why would we expect anything different.

This review is just pathetic. How can you bash binary domain, it's one of the best games I played this year, look at crappy ass effect 3 with it's indoctrination story and dlc download that should be in the game to begin with. Raccoon city is actually quiet fun. I don't trust reviews anymore, in fact I haven't relied on reviews this whole generation and you know what, it's been the best thing for me. Don't let these clowns do the tasting for you.

RE: ORC was a wreck. I wouldn't even say that game is worth full 60 dollars when you can beat the whole game within 5 hours. the controls, graphics, story and everything else was terrible!

Ninja Gaiden 3...should not even have the 3 in the title. the game is more like dynasty ninja! nuff said!

As for Binary domain, I would have to disagree on. yes the voice command feature was incomplete, but how are you going to say the game is crap is because of that when you can just turn off the feature??!! i was impressed with the game. very heavy driven story for an shooter. binary domain surpass my expectations for a shooter.
